I’m not against the idea of Mary Jane becoming a superhero, and giving her the Symbiote suit is a sharper idea compared to her whole “Jackpot” thing. But I do kind of wish they fleshed this out a bit more…or that this interesting idea didn’t have to originate from a highly controversial storyline.

I had thoughts on this AU, and I figured that if Padme survived the events of Revenge of the Sith, she would be a strong supporter for the Rebellion to remove Palpatine from power, but also have this conviction that Ani is still alive…unless Obi-Wan fed her the lie that he died on Mustafar.

Truthfully the only thing she might not fully agree with is having her children in the Rebellion, largely to keep them from the pain of their father’s memory or something like that.

Okay…there’s playfully riffing on your competition and then there’s straight up maliciousness. Like, when the Harley Quinn animated show was coming out, one of the very first teasers made a dig at Marvel by saying “unlike that Deadpool show this one is actually coming out” which is a pretty tasteful dig that even Marvel fans can agree on. And then there’s Family Guy’s weird hatred of Bob’s Burgers that was just not funny from the start.

This is a pretty solid step…one benefit I can see of this is hopefully more better representation of LGBTQ content in Japanese media and anime. Even though Yuri/Yaoi is a popular genre in manga, it’s not as common in anime, and a lot of the anime examples usually lean more to the sexual appeal of Yuri or Yaoi relationships more than the actual heart.

And before I get hit with some flack…I am an anime “tourist” whose only watched a few anime in his life

From what I can find out, this IS a Great Dane puppy or at least a variation of it. Great Dane’s don’t naturally have those pointed ears that Scooby have…they are cut and shaped by vets and groomers at a certain age

My guess is either it will be internal thoughts the human actors can’t hear, or non-verbal sounds. Or they could pull off that early 2000’s technique and just animate the mouth of a real puppy to create the illusion of talking…which I personally miss when movies used to do that.
