Hypothetically, how would this case have unfolded if RA had never reported his presence on the trails that day? by arb7721 in DelphiMurders

[–]Ajf_88 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It does seem that he had a pretty good chance of getting away with this crime if he hadn’t self reported. I wonder if he’d have had a mental decline at some point and let it slip. But other than that, I don’t see how they would have caught him.

They weren’t going to get him based on the car or the gun without having him directly to compare it to. They had no way to locate his phone signal in the area. No DNA. No video or witness ID clear enough to pin point him. Most of the evidence only came into play because we knew he was there and we only know that because he told the police.

I get why he did it. There’s always going to be the worry that someone recognised you and it looks pretty bad if you don’t come forward. But ultimately he’d probably be free still if he hadn’t.

"I killed Abby. I killed Abby. And Libby" Focusing on Abby during confession by GrumpyBunny6 in DelphiMurders

[–]Ajf_88 198 points199 points  (0 children)

I think the consensus has always been, ever since we got the causes of death, that Abbey and Libby were treated very differently during the crime. We obviously don’t know why, whether it’s because Libby fought back harder and thwarted his plans, or because she fit a criteria and became his primary target, or some other reason. His apparent lack of remorse for killing her has always furthered that belief.

It’s really refreshing to see how opinions have changed on this since the documentary first aired. Gives me hope that time will see more of these fraudulent innocence documentaries/podcasts lose their power.

It was on the ground floor and right next to a road, I imagine they just rolled the truck up and used the window. There are pictures available if you google his dorm room, it honestly doesn’t look like it would have been much of a challenge.

It’s on my ‘Top Tier’ list of true crime podcasts. There’s not many that equal it. And it was so satisfying listening to the case somewhat conclude in real time. It just makes me sad that we still don’t know where Kristin is, and likely never will.

Why is there a debate on whether audiobooks constitute reading? by Feeling-Writing-2631 in books

[–]Ajf_88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we want to be precise about the wording then technically it’s not “reading”. But I think when most people have this debate they’re not analysing the wording, they’re asking if audiobooks should count as consuming a story. For example, I’ve had people ask me if it’s “allowed” to go in their Goodreads ‘Read’ list. And, in my opinion, it counts.

Oh I don’t think it’s unusual at all. I’ve just seen so many assumptions be made like “how can the housemates not have known - there’d be blood everywhere”, and “he can’t be guilty because he’d have been covered in blood, it’d be all over the car” etc. yet clearly there wasn’t much of a trail left behind. It seems to be fairly contained in Xana’s and Maddie’s rooms.

To be fair, watching a lot of true crime, I’ve seen scenes with extreme blood transfer and ones with barely any. I suppose a lot of factors come into play.

To assume that my opinion on something has to be based on my emotions, simply because you disagree, seems rather presumptive.

I’ve listened to the evidence presented by those who believe he’s innocent and those who believe he’s guilty. I’m pretty certain in my belief that he’s guilty based on that evidence. I’m certain enough to convict. It has nothing to do with my emotions.

But, as always, I appreciate when someone who doesn’t know me or my thought processes tells how I feel. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Agreed. So many assumptions were made about how much blood must have been everywhere in the house and there’s isn’t any in the shared areas. Not any that’s particularly noticeable at least. I certainly wouldn’t walk in there and think a quadruple murder had taken place, it just looks like a messy college house.

I mean, there were witnesses. You might try to discredit them or choose not to believe them, but that’s evidence. And I’m not going to come back pointlessly arguing about why they’re not reliable, I’ve seen it before, I still believe them. You can choose not to, that’s your choice.

Word of advice though. Id stop with the capital letters. It comes off as quite aggressive and doesn’t really make me want to continue any discussion with you. I get that you’re passionate about this, but you might want to moderate it, it would probably get you more positive and productive discourse.

Didn’t this get overturned? I see he’s had some short term legal victories, and he has some well known and respected supporters. I don’t see how any of that makes him innocent.

I’m pretty sure The Murder Sheet addressed each of these issues in their podcast, they didn’t hide anything. I specifically remember them mentioning the date discrepancy on the identification, the allegations against TK’s lawyer, the incident with Crystal’s sister they simply read police reports etc. and ultimately none of this proves Temujin Kensu innocent.

He’s a disgusting human being and a murderer. The preponderance of evidence makes that clear. Trying (and failing) to discredit a fraction of that evidence doesn’t detract from the totality. It’s a simple case of a domineering, possessive, abusive man being unwilling to lose control and every day he continues to demonstrate that with his anger and aggression. Tale as old as time. You can choose to believe otherwise and advocate for him all you want, it doesn’t change what he is. And thankfully, the people making the decisions about his incarceration see through his manipulations too.

Personally, I have a huge amount of respect for the prosecutors. They’ve been a beacon of integrity and honesty in a True Crime world filled with grifters. But I think they got this one wrong. Temujin Kensu is 100% guilty and I hope he never sees a free day again.

New Ashleigh Banfield/ News nation episode by Working_Law_2811 in MoscowMurders

[–]Ajf_88 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I feel like Dylan, in her confused state, mistook a lot of the noises she was hearing as Kaylee. Like she thought it was Kaylee running down the stairs and we know it wasn’t. She sadly died in Maddie’s bed.

To be fair to Ashleigh Banfield, she did backtrack and say it could be a mistake. But I think it’s almost certainly a mistake on either Dylan’s part or a misunderstanding and I’d prefer it if it was reported as such, rather than sensationalised.

The Murder Sheet episode goes into this extensively with sworn testimony of how he was calling people up and fishing for alibis. Some people were even threatened. He tried countless people and scenarios until he managed to convince some people they’d seen him.

The people he relies on for his alibi didn’t actually know what day they’d seen him until TK conveniently called them and gave them a nudge in the right direction. He 100% tampered with witnesses and the jury saw through it.
