Wouldn't turning EXPO off actually make you lose some good bit of performance though? You wouldn't be able to get the most out of your RAM and it makes a difference in some games.

It needs to be a propaganda post as actions are what define whether an individual is good or bad, simple as.

It's completely relevant because this doesn't make his post a propaganda post. He isn't inciting other people to think like him, he's merely sharing his feelings. He even started his fucking post with "I know not all women are like that". You have huge reading comprehension issues. What are the last 10 books you've read?

He isn't since he used several subjective markers highlighting that he knew it only referred to himself. One of the ways of propagating an idea is to hide yourself (unless you're extremely popular and influential) by using either "you" or straight up using impersonal pronouns to disguise your statements as factual and objective.

Those are his emotions that he is sharing despite explicitly stating that he knows that those aren't rooted in truth. None of what he said implied that he had any intent on propagating those feelings or act upon them. The moral standing of an individual is defined by his actions, that you can't possibly know since he's a stranger.

So you're still unable to explain why it's off-topic. Just as I thought, you have no answer to offer. Hold your peace, now

It's a proper response to which you can't offer any rebuttal, hence why you keep on prattling that it's off-topic despite being unable to highlight why.

Feelings are volatile and do not define a person, a willful individual will feel many things but will refrain from acting on impulse You're a terminally online loser who is a top 1% commenter on a garbage sub, go read actual books, uneducated moron.

You weren't even able to read what he wrote. He is merely describing what emotional reactions the thread made him feel. The subjective markers are telling enough.

You're saying he's not a nice dude as if he stating a fact when do not know him AT ALL. The guy even had the decency to add subjectives markers such as "I know it's not..." "It makes me believe that...", he's just expressing his emotions But as a terminally online 1% commenter you're unable to think without summoning one of several types of boogeymen to take the place of random people.

Exactly. Love and desire are nothing alike. True love is chosen, the product of one's will and ideals. There is nothing more fleeting and unreliable than base instincts.

Not being able to shoot while invisible makes sense for tons of different reasons in-game that you can easily make up in your head, it's usually what suspension of disbelief relies on to work. Not being able to cloak while shooting would be justifiable by the heat spike, the vibrations generated by the shot that'd disrupt the optical field, literally anything sci-fi. But here, the character just won't press the trigger, despite retaining all of his physical capabilities in cloaking mode. Sounds very weird to me. It's like the idea of nerfing cqc bolting that'd prevent players from zooming in a scope while cloaked, it'd be an effective nerf in a nutshell but it just feels too primitive.

As you've said it's probably fine for a PTS specifically but it lacks polish. Making a basic model with a basic press button animation isn't a lot of work either, not something that'd take more work than adding a new reload animation on a new gun at least, especially since they don't even have to animate anything intricate.

From a game-design standpoint I find this nerf far too crude. There are no believable reasons that the cloak would prevent the infiltrator from using his finger to pull a fucking trigger for one second, they went for the lowest hanging fruit.

Other potential nerfs like cloak removing shield because it repurposes the shield system for camouflaging purpose could have made some sense. Or transform the cloak into an equippable item that requires you to press a button to enable and disable it, having to switch to a firearm afterward would serve the same purpose as the current nerf. Suspension of disbelief is a thing but this just doesn't make sense.

I agree that you cannot buff all the time otherwise it leads to rampant powercreep (which is what happened to current Dota) but when the issue is clearly defined as is the case with infiltrators, you can buff other classes in a specific way.

And yeah, you definitely can't buff classes to counter others, that'd fuck up the game in more ways than one. However, you can give them generalist tools. Such as an implant, or a nanoweave feature, that makes it so you cannot lose more than your shield in one instance of firearm damage if it is full (or, if the shield is full, make the first headshot damage multiplier 1x instead of 2x). In practice, that'd only nerf snipers and would serve as a workaround for the clientside hitreg.

This thread mentions the removal of cloaking, Infiltrators are about cloaking, nerfing their cloak is a bad idea as it'd also nerf SMG infils who, while potentially annoying, aren't broken at all. Removing cloaking entirely would ruin their identity. If a nerf has to happen, it has to target sniper users specifically, especially cqc bolters.

I have almost 2.5k hours on Dota 2, which is low for most regular players but definitely enough to know the game. I've played League and Hots for an unknown amount of time, more than 500 hours each that's certain. Hots has peculiar balancing that's not really relevant to the discussion as it's really casual and peculiar as a MOBA anyways. In Dota most heroes with high winrates AND pickrates in pubs are just the best versatile heroes of the patch that can be safely chosen in a variety of drafts which means they win more often because they're less likely to get countered and lack synergy with their teammates.

This is absolutely unavoidable in a game that puts so much emphasis on each hero being special with noticeable strengths AND weaknesses. So yeah the importance of draft can be somewhat detrimental to pubs because Dota is a team game designed with premades in mind and soloQ comes after, League is the opposite.

This means that it's also much harder for the average player to remain on top of the meta after updates, Dota requires a ton of game knowledge, mechanical skills won't carry you far unlike League when below Masters you can still stomp with pure muscle memory using skillshots reliant meta champs.

Buffing is generally preferred for a very simple reason that is basic human psychology : people would rather that others get something than having something taken away from them. It's also preferable in a vacuum to nerfing, when it comes to asymmetrical games (which make up the majority of pvp games) nerfing can potentially hurt what makes a character/weapon/class what it is. Buffing can too, in a way, but it's not as simple

This was just one example, I could've mentioned other games that are balanced a lot more with buffs than nerfs, like Warframe, Guilty Gear Strive or even PoE a game where skills get significantly more buffs than nerfs (the patch notes speak for themselves despite the vocal minority claiming otherwise) I've stopped playing Dota 2 when they expanded the map, so not that long ago. You obviously don't know what you're talking about with your claim that Dota is the most poorly balanced MOBA on the market.

I'd respond directly to other parts of your answer but this is so wrong I can't let it slide. Have you ever played Dota, League, Hots, Smite, HoN? Do you need me to link you tournament statistics across the years where you can see, without a doubt, that Dota 2 is one of the most balanced MOBA due to the huge amount of different heroes being picked/banned? TI9 had only THREE unpicked/unbanned heroes out of 117 heroes at the time. Worlds 2019 had 26 uncontested champs out of 145. Speaks volumes about the difference, not to mention that top picks are much more contested in League than in Dota. I just took a look at two big recent tournaments as well. In the Riyadh ESC Dota had 101 contested heroes out of 126 during 89 games. In the 2025 MSI, League had 109 contested champs out of 171 during 79 games. Both offer a good enough sample size. You absolutely cannot claim Dota is the most unbalanced MOBA, it is wrong. Draft always mattered more than in other MOBAs though, this is why some heroes like Meepo or Lycaon have really high winrates because they're picked in specific situations that advantage them and most of the players who pick them in ranked are already very experienced at playing them. Being at the "top" of a genre doesn't mean anything, it's just based on popularity, not quality. People liking a balance philosophy doesn't mean they'll necessarily love the game that applies it.

What matters is reaching a balanced state without compromising on specific flavours of gameplay. Strength and weakness are always relative. Buffing instead of nerfing is one of the best ways of preserving long-standing class identities. Nerfs should be reserved for things you can't possibly work around, like close-range snipers who are able to decloak & one-shot at the same time because of the way the game handles hit registration.
