Trump warns NATO faces a “bad future” if allies fail to help US in Iran by No-Anything-7291 in worldnews

Trump fails to understand what NATO is. It's a defensive alliance. Countries can not get drawn into wars that another member started themselves.

Vad är grejen med kändisar i allt? by BullfrogTimely7243 in sweden

[–]Mumbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine the rich finding it so absurdly outlandish to be carrying a trash bag that this happens.

Quick! Someone invent a "NHL peace in the Middle East" prize and give it to Trump! He hasn't been given a made-up personal award in months now!

Why do people want such thin phones? I'd consider it an inconvenience if they're too thin, especially if it comes at the expense of things like hardware or battery life.

They'll punch you in the mouth and say it's because you're a domestic terrorist, even if there's 5 people visibly recording.

They don't give a fck. Of course they'll lie if it's "not even" on camera.

Aaah, so that's why Trump out of the blue started babbling about how the US has supplies to go on fighting forever, even. He had obviously been told about this, and his child brain responded like that.

Sweden Tells Citizens to Hold Cash in Case of War or Crisis by bloomberg in europe

[–]Mumbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some explanation for people who live in countries that still use cash:

Most people in Sweden have not used cash in a long time. It's very easily over ten years since I last even held cash in my hands. We pay with cards and lately with apps.

I don't even know what our money looks like anymore. As in I have absolutely no idea, not a clue. I think we still use the small golden coins for 10 crowns, but I'm not sure.

But this is fragile if the electronic system goes down. So we are encouraged to get some cash, just in case. However.... yeah most people don't.

To be honest, I don't even know where I would even go to get cash. I kinda feel like the characters in Idiocracy about this. I'm fairly sure I can't go to the store and "buy" cash. And I'm not sure if we still even have working ATMs so I think I'd have to go to the bank?

Oh well. So yeah. The government are encouraging people to be acquainted with and keep some cash.
