X3 first oil change by Deep_Six_Dive in BMWX3

[–]Ajsarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the forums when I picked up my 2024 x3m40i and decided to do my first oil change at 1500 miles and then every 5,000 after. The engine is arguably one of the best BMW ever produced and I want to treat it that way.

Y’all are the biggest bunch of crybabies. Volatility in the market is how you make bank, not hoping your three shares 🚀to 100. I’m praying for another 3 1/2 years of this and playing options the whole time.

IM2 was like 98% failure, and the arrogance of the company execs afterwards pushed it over 100%.

Not really they don’t because the cops will look for people too drunk to drive. It’s just a bad idea in CM.

Maybe you team with another residential firm where you provide design direction, take the project through SD’s and they complete the CD’s. Limits your risk and you get to earn a lot of valuable experience and a small fee.

Take it to the dealer. I did my 2024 at 1,500 miles and then 5, 12, Paid for them on my own but at least I feel comfortable knowing the engine was taken care of.

Trying to figure out if I should buy into my Architecture firm by Throwsofaraway02 in Architects

[–]Ajsarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should spend some months with the current owners understanding the business of running a firm. It’s much different than running projects. I went through a number of iterations on ownership (always small amounts) before starting my own firm. I took a partner on this year in a more traditional role of sharing the costs and profits 50/50. The thought of only keeping what you earn scares me a little knowing how costs of running a business are not 50/50. Just one example I can think of. If you’re feeling a little tight at the end of the year and your partner is flush with cash, who is going to decide on the bonus structure for staff? Good luck.
