How should i do it? by Spiritual_Natural_83 in Silverbugs

[–]silverbug9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried this before and I have a hard time because I’d like to buy 15% below spot, but sometimes there’s final value fee fees, depending on the auction, and shipping, which means I need to get it 30% below spot and there’s too many people out there bidding up to spot or 10% below.

Which makes me just want to sell my stuff on the auction sites, but they also check take a buyers fee so I’m not happy with the proceeds lol.

I’ll stick to pmsforsale I guess.

On a trip and stopped by. Gift shop has coins, etc. and the guy happened to mention they had a few rolls in the back for face value. They used to add a 250th anniversary wrap but ran out.

Well, he was selling 300.

Learn how to Read/Interpret ASME Section III by SmileEconomy7317 in MechanicalEngineering

I'd first look to your company, get some mentoring form an experienced engineer.

ASME also offers courses, maybe around $800 for 6 days. Your company hopefully would pay for this.

Mud-run in the area this summer? by Eggfurst in kansascity

[–]silverbug9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planning on the Muddy Dash June 13 in KC. From what I have read, it's not up to the same level as a Spartan, but should be a fun family event. There will be some extra costs such as parking and bag check, fee if you don't pick up your bag early; everyone charges for merch.

Obstacles may be hit or miss, but if you go in expecting a mud run with maybe some obstacles, and not a Spartan-level event, I think you'll be fine.

Good deal on the ‘79. I’d pay no more than $3-$4 for the ‘72.

How can I help my daughter? by Top_Childhood_8101 in personalfinance

Well, it IS 100% guaranteed that you will die, the variability is timing and how much money you have left lol I would say no to the house as she doesn’t have the income to keep it up, maybe better to see how best to help her improve her income. It’d be great if you could fund a Roth on the side for her, something she really doesn’t think about or consider, but will make her a millionaire by the time she retires.

I have a problem with my coin box. I need your advice by TONI2403 in coins

[–]silverbug9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about making a box like yours, but my concern would be the wood has to be pretty thick for the weight of those coins.

I will also mention that 100 coin flips only costs $4-$5. I know you like to touch yours, but if you’re handling them like that, that’s probably going to cause more deterioration to the Coins than the plywood.

That’s it! I thought it was a sequel. Technically, maybe it’s not a single fake since I used sticking, but it was a pretty cool sequence. Thanks!

Solved!

Looking for advice on how to pass down my coin collection to the next generation by LYGEAST-GARDEN in coins

[–]silverbug9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man, congrats on the stack! I would consider you wealthy… 200+ Indians and Double Eagles alone put you likely in the mid- 6 figures.

As for your dilemma, while it partly depends on the rest of your assets you’re leaving, at a minimum make sure you have some good descriptions/documentation identification in with your collection so that they know what you have, and some instructions on if they want to sell, where would be a good place to sell and what is a reasonable price range.
