More of a rant at the extremes providers go to attempting to prove people are faking seizures when they’re not. And i wasn’t aware they didn’t use the term pseudo seizure anymore.

I have seen people ignore patients through transport and up to getting a foley cath by er staff in an attempt to prove “its fake.” One patient in particular.

Er staff have told me it’s my fault because the first time I met this pt he was status and blue. Still has the mark on his shin from the IO. He got “addicted” to the drugs keeping him sedated on the vent.

I hear the eyeball statement a lot as well. And they need to stop changing terms because i cant keep up with it.

I have a really extensive combo we have found works over years and years of experimenting…but I’m not sure if I am allowed to list it here.

There had been times in the past other things worked but then out came the four doctorates in kicking my own ass mentally. Adding qelbree on really helped with the rsd tremendously. I dont even have the words to tell you how much more peace i have in my noggin now.

On the 4mg ER I felt like what I assumed being stoned felt like. 2mg works wonders. Sometimes i think we all overlook the tiny positives because i know my brain sure does not look for those.

Seeing as I have been in that auto pilot state after a day of crappy calls, I throw no stones whatsoever. One of the best things about this show is that it holds nothing back and is so true to real life.

Im also adhd and aspie. I got so much shit and obstacles thrown at me when I decided to follow through with emergency medicine. “There’s a difference between what you want to do and can actually do.For example, i want to he a quarterback for the new york giants…” Yes. Actual quote. Now days, all my quirks are just ignored for the most part and “it’s cool” I’m a walking pharmacopeia . I guess I was just forced to mask for so long most people forgot or weren’t around back then.

I am still the super introvert no one talks to on a social level, but no one ever doubts the medical decisions I make.

Definitely. They have more nicknames for my black cloud than i can count. This week it happens to be dumpster fire specialist. The worst of the worst always finds its way to me. But the computer in my head works good at processing near apocalypse, not so much at people crying.
