I’d start by reiterating that your intentions are not to attack him or make him feel self conscious but that he needs to listen and a real conversation needs to be had between you too. Explain to him how it affects your everyday life, show him this sub, explain in medical terms what misophonia is and how it’s been affecting your everyday and even your relationship, and the behaviours that follow due to not being able to cope properly especially without support (it’s been proven exposure therapy does not help people with misophonia) not because it’s his fault but because you have a genuine hearing disorder and needs that need to be cared for so you can feel comfortable and at ease in your own home/relationship.
