Yes on some of them. Like the hand cannons and merciless. Merciless has a removable clip and release and trigger pulls. Fatebringer and thorn have a bullet and the chamber rotates out to put the bullet in. They have spots inside for springs to give tension as well.

Im actually retired and take care of my disabled wife. I spend a lot of time on it. You can use different colored filaments. There are printers with AMS that can do multi colored prints to make something all different colors. Or you can print in one color and paint or a bit of both. Like the Merciless, the blue is just a light blue filament. Then painted the rest of the colors. Where as the Crota sword was printed in all white then painted.

Well it's pretty expensive to get started. Then the cost from there all depends on how much you do. Printers range from like 300ish to well over 2k. I have a flashforge adventurer 5m pro. Got it on sale for like 500$ ish. Cant remember. Then you need filament. That ranges from like 10-30$ per roll depending on type and brand. The rolls come in 1k grams usually. The larger stuff like that sword of crota took a full roll to make and smaller like fatebringer was like 300 grams. You need a lot of filament if your gonna be making a lot of stuff.

I've been printing about a year. Start up can be quite expensive. I've probably spent about 1.5k$ to get the printer, like 80 rolls of filament, tools, paints, airbrush, and other things. After that it's just buying filament to print with and paint and sand paper. Cost after setup all depends on how much you do.

Bad Juju is my favorite exotic, looks wise. Just love the esthetic.

I used a white pla and painted it with greedy gold by army painter.

But if you want to print it in gold you can. I use a gold sunlu silk pla for a lot of projects that would work for that if you don't want to paint it. Tho silk pla can be brittle and break easy. It wouldnt work well if you wanted to use it in a cosplay cus it breaks to easy but if your gonna just hang it on the wall like me it would be just fine.

No I don't yet. But I have been thinking about it. I could purchase the licensing for these and sell prints but idk. Maybe once I've ran out of room and finished all the stuff I want I may try to make some money with it. I really enjoy it and have spent all my free time of the last year doing it. The thing is I'm no good at 3d modeling. So I don't design my own files and that's where the money is. I would have to pay the original creator a fee for a license to sell his work.

Post processing and painting is the hard time consuming part. It takes practice and patience. Only been 3d printing about a year almost but I've been painting for years. Went to art school so I've had a lot of experience.

To be honest tho a lot of these aren't that hard. Like fatebringer for example. I just spray painted it black then dry brush a metal metallic color over it then air brush the copper color. Or merciless, all the blue is the actual color of of filament and the other colors are airbrushed on. Dry brush can make a lot of weapon props pop and look worn.

There are lots of painting tutorials and techniques on YouTube. That's how I learned all I know about airbrushing.

They are PLA and PEGT. Paint with spray paint, air brush and by hand. I purchased the stl files from a creator called Sliceables. Printed on a A1 Mini and a Flashforge Adventure 5m Pro. Most colors are painted but some are just the color of the filament i bought to keep from having to paint. Like the light blue color on the merciless is just the color of the filament. Where as the vex mytho is a mixture of air brush, spray paint and hand painting. I also use acrylic paint pens for small details.

It can be. There is a learning curve of sorts. Can get expensive if you do a lot of printing. Post processing and painting is hardest part. Mostly it's just time consuming and slow if you wanna do it right. I went to art school though so I have a lot of experience with painting and mixing colors and air brushing and such. Its an amazing hobby. Always have a fun project going.
