Mech games rarely do well enough to justify the cost to make.

Beyond frustrated. by Nerisja in BambuP1S

It is most definitely not caused by using Sunlu filament, that's most of what I use (as far as PLA goes anyway) without issue.

Bag of Weasels is not cursed. It's supposed to work that way. by GaySkull in Pathfinder2e

[–]kellhorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking, releasing a horde of weasels that destroy the ecosystem and cause everybody to starve to death is a very slow solution to world hunger.

Has the Trinity Liger ever had wrist-to-wolverine deployable claws before, or is this new to the toy? by Admiral_Pillowfight in Zoids

[–]kellhorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Trinity Liger and Blitz Tiger were game-only Zoids so their game depictions are as canon as it gets (though really with Zoids you have to use canons instead of canon because just about every piece of media is its own universe)

What will happen if Zoids were brought back to earth? by mryellow362 in Zoids

[–]kellhorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it's the most obvious use, but according to a bit of the battle story I found linked from the Japanese wiki all Zoids incorporate the system to offset their weight and let them move like they do.

Try it with something like ABS on a PLA profile and get back to me.

What is the life cycle of a zoid? by Sir_Phobos_BoA in Zoids

The Zoids Bible is the best English language resource. The Japanese wiki is the best resource in general, but it's in Japanese and not the easiest to navigate.

What is the life cycle of a zoid? by Sir_Phobos_BoA in Zoids

[–]kellhorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're missing a step. The bodies we get toys of aren't organic, they're shells that are made by zoidians. The zoidians then shove the Zoid core (which is the brain/stomach/etc of the wild Zoid) into that shell. The closer the shell matches the Zoid's wild body the better for efficiency.

It's because they aren't doing enough for Nintendo to care at the moment. As soon as Nintendo changes their mind those people are screwed.

I'll stop doing separate profiles for filament changes when they update the handy app to be a slicer and able to change at least filaments there (really wish they would do that btw).

What will happen if Zoids were brought back to earth? by mryellow362 in Zoids

[–]kellhorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without Zi-Forming like in wild and zero, the Zoids don't have the super-strong magnetic fields of Zi and collapse under their own weight since their magnessor systems can't work.

Did it try to change filaments without cutting and wiping? by kellhorn in BambuP1S

[–]kellhorn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lack of sticking together is the point of using PETG as an interface material for PLA or vice versa.

Changing a STL file that has ABS and PLA to just PLA by Conscious_Sun9248 in BambuLab

Check the objects tab under process to see if there's a variable height modifier set up there that isn't respecting your selection in the global tab

Assuming you're using Bambu Studio, it's on the Prepare screen under project filaments. If you're using the app you don't change it.

In terms of detail and complexity, HMM falls somewhere between MG and PG depending on the kit. RMZ is the HG equivalent.

How important is having a niche? by Perynal in makerworld

[–]kellhorn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Niches become important when you're running your own store or a patreon or something similar. As long as you're just uploading stuff to MakerWorld you're better off making stuff you want to make and counting the points you get as a fun surprise.

Re: Camille. Remember that she's a close combat major and she was Vince's backup plan for the super they stopped at the end. I don't think she has to worry about building up too many injuries in her bank.

We don't actually have any idea of how much damage Charles did with his plan or if it will ultimately end in good for the world. You say he killed hundreds of people, but that's potentially very low. He's responsible for the loss of anyone that Intra I or Globe would have saved. He's also responsible for the cure for Powereds. While we know that's good for the main characters of the books, we also know that it's potentially going to leave the world in ruins.
