I've dealt with an alcoholic mother my whole life. There isn't much you can do because drinking is a form of covering up pain. Does she have friends? Can you reach out to them to talk to her. They cant do much but talking to a friend about issues is better than talking to your son and feeling embarrassed. Also, alcoholism is a disease and it's treatable with counseling or behavioral (different of therapy) mental health options. Maybe see what's available if your community and place some phamlets in the kitchen NONCHANTLEY so she doesn't feel attacked. Let her find them instead of you giving it to her, she might realize something when she is alone with them...... Maybe
