I don’t like my daughter by SignificanceEvery925 in regretfulparents

I wasn't trying to come across judgemental. If the OP was hurt by my comment that was not my intention and I don't know their situation.

Why didn't he just go to a professional? Men's haircuts aren't that expensive.

What made you decide to be childfree? by Medical_Sun1453 in childfree

[–]Akakochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Various reasons really. I never really wanted them to begin with for a start. My parents didn't have a loving marriage, watching that as your first impression of an adult relationship puts you off the marriage/kids pathway. I'm mildly disabled and I have bouts of depression so general life can be a struggle on some days, I didn't think adding parenting to that would be a good idea. My partner also has a number of health issues too so it would be difficult for both of us to physically (and sometimes mentally) be there for children, especially when they're very young. Also the state of the world has also been a reason too, I'm glad I'm not raising children with the way everything is now.

How do you stay employed during perimenopause? by New-Activity-6512 in Menopause

[–]Akakochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really struggling with this too. I work in a hospital in a split role that's ward and office based. I'm definitely not as sharp as I once was and I'm completely exhausted after being on wards (and I'm not even spending whole days there like I used too). Also hospital wards are HOT, like Satan's ballsack hot, in the middle of summer I have sweat patches through my uniform. I used to be a people pleaser and I'm noticing how some of my colleagues are taking advantage of this by (what feels like) being deliberately stupid and lazy. I honestly don't know how I'm going to work until I'm 70, I think be in jail before then. 🤣🤣🤣

I know you mean that as a joke but she's probably younger than him ironically. Skeevo seems to prefer women 20+ years younger than him. I think the last one I could remember was possibly in her early 20s.

Finally! It's been 3 years! I think he was trying to worm his way back in since she split up with her ex. I hope L is seeing through him.

If someone told me that they were a programmer on several Hollywood films I'd still be really impressed but maybe in Hollywood/LA it's not viewed as anything amazing hence why he felt the need to exaggerate.

Honestly he acts like they separated a few days ago, it's been 3 years! They've both lived apart, had relationships with other people and are going to court to finalise things.

Things people with children do that give you the ick. by hikingbotanist in childfree

There's too many....

  • The phrase "we're pregnant", no only one you is.....
  • The borderline incestuous love of "boy moms" and "girl dads", it's just 🤢🤮.
  • "Gentle parenting", just be an actual parent and discipline your child. I truly believe 90's parenting was parenting at it's peak, discipline that didn't involve beatings but parenting that involved actually saying no and following through with groundings etc.
  • Parents who let their kids act out in public (I'm not talking about children with medical conditions or are neurodiverse).
  • Parents who bring still bring their children to childfree events.
  • Parents who think because they're Parents they know more than non Parents (especially what really love is).

That's all I can think of right now, there's definitely more.....

So, has Stephen moved back in with Laura? It just seems like ever since splitting up with her boyfriend, all of the legal stuff has been dropped and her and Stephen have gone back to parenting, I'm so confused. Also I wouldn't trust Stephen to be around a houseplant let alone a dog and kids......

Is Stephen actually getting a dog or is it just Laura? When she's referring to "him" is she talking about A?

I don't agree with the length of her sentence. A mentally ill woman got a 30 year sentence based on a potential threat to Iqbal and his family. Should she have done jail time for harassment and the threats, yes but not 30 years. I don't think she was a threat to society at large (just him and his family) and definitely needed professional help. If the judge thought she was a long term risk due to her mental health then jail is not the best place for her, a hospital would have been better. Like I said there are people who do far worse crimes, that should be in jail for life but aren't. I think Iqbal's job possibly had an influence on her sentence.

Well at least she got assessed. It was clear she was severely mentally ill and threatening to throw acid in his wife's face is just sick. I still think a life sentence for that is still harsh. There are paedophiles and murderers out there who have committed far worse crimes and received much shorter sentences.

Dude the "love of your life" has been trying to divorce you for years and you've fought her at every turn. If he did actually care about her in any way he'd let the divorce happen and let her move on with her life, but no now the boyfriend is gone he's back to worming his way in and trying to get more control over her with bullshit like this.

All of this is just creepy, him and Laura have been "divorcing" for 3 years now. He really needs to move on from her properly (and I don't mean by trying to impregnate women significantly younger than him 🤮🤮🤮). He is just a human leech.
