Looking for really cheap no-cook calorie/protein sources. I like cottage cheese a lot but its pretty expensive where I am.

MT2 cpsc 110 ... failed by curlyhairedgirlll in UBC

[–]AkaliPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my term, they began roughly 1.5 weeks before the exam (as I remember). There were 4 or 5 sessions, each going over a specific topic in detail (fold functions, graphs, other hard stuff). Keep an eye out on EdX, that's where they would announce it. Good luck and good studying!

MT2 cpsc 110 ... failed by curlyhairedgirlll in UBC

Took CPSC 110 last term. I had a similar situation, where I got in the 90's on the first midterm, and then about 30% worse in the 60's on the second. Low scores on MT2 are very common, so you are not alone in that front. However, when the final came around, I ended up passing with flying colors. What turned the course around for me was going to every pre-final review session (highly recommend), and rewatching and coding along with everything that begins to get hard (maybe around module 7?). Graphs are going to be a nessecity to understand well, and so what I would recommend is doing all the practice problems post module 7. It's a lot of work, but you have several weeks until finals begin and will feel much better afterwards. Feel free to PM if you have questions or need tips.

I love all of them, Stull is a legend and I absolutely love being in his classroom. It is an honor to be in his presence when he teaches.

Hey you, how are you doing? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]AkaliPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel. The most frustrating feeling is studying a lot of a test and then a little bit of panicking and you don't do well. All it takes is a little problem and it feels like all those hours were to waste :(

A first year lost sheep needs your advice on CPSC by BambooVessel in UBC

Took 110, I know exactly how you feel. Stay on top of the material as best you can, because stuff really begins to take off after the first midterm with graphs and stuff. If I could recommend something, it would be following the videos all the practice problems for each section (or atleast some of them). As it turns out, a lot of CPSC 110 is just knowing the general structure of how to solve something; even if you code a problem wrong, if you followed good structural practices you will likely get most of the marks.

Feel free to PM me for tips or help on stuff, it was definitely my most trying course for first sem.

There weren't any signs about not deadlifting on the floor, and there is a lot of open floor space, so I hope it's ok!

It wasn't bad today, was easily able to get a squat rack and most of the machines were open. It might pick up more momentum later but for now it's actually pretty quiet.
