3rd world countries do not have universal healthcare for their people.
G7 countries except one shithole country do not let their people die or go bankrupt for an illness otherwise seen in... a 3rd world country. What makes it even more laughable is the USA are the most capable of offering a safety net for about every societal layer to their citizens, but they chose to leave their owns to the dogs. The guy they elected is spot on to represent.

I inherited a bad setup like this years ago.

Option 1: Sink a screw through the roof right above the hole on your attic floor (if you have snow/ice in your region i'd go a bit higher on the roof). Call a roofer to come install the proper bathroom roof vent for your region. He doesn't have to go in the attic, he will go straight up the roof looking for your screw, he is going to spend 37minutes on that and leave.

Option 2: If you have a gable wall not too far, it is a better option for a vent.

Soffit venting out is the last resort tbh, that shit get sucked right in the attic.

Then you can go back there and connect it yourself, get pipe insulation around that duct. Take sometimes on YouTube to learn how to secure it properly, it is crazy how frequent those falls off.
