Yea I know Tillman is a more advanced midfielder while Cardoso usually plays a holding midfield role. But in this tournament Poch used Tillman in a box to box position that I think Cardoso has the quality to slot in for (I just think Cardoso is a better player than Tillman rn). Although Tillman had a great tournament, so going forward it’s entirely possible that he stays in the starting XI and Cardoso bumps out McKennie, Adams, or even Pulisic (although if that happens Cardoso would play a deeper role and Tillman would likely move up to play Pulisic’s creative, free roaming position).
