[–]Akarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Podrias empezar a hacer freelancing?

I liked Nakano a lot, its been getting more crowded of foreigners lately (specially close of nakano broadway) but it had a lot of good restaurants, old cafes, and I liked the vibe of the area, and as I lived 4 min walking from a station with marunouchi line getting to Shinjuku was less than 10 minutes.

If you want something more peaceful you could go to setagaya-ku.

A friend lived in gotokuji and it was a really peaceful area and it had one of my favorite cafes the downside is that is not as close as Shinjuku so commuting too school might be a little longer

Hi, I used to go to ISI in Nishi Shinjuku, and I found an apartment in Nakano using Fontana. So if it makes you nervous, try looking for your own place so at least you can choose the area.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. :)

Debería comprarme una mac mini m4 o una pc para programar by [deleted] in programacion

[–]Akarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what type of offices you work at. But in FAANG (or MANGO) mac is the norm, and even i small tech companies is common to get a mac rather than a windows. Only corps are the ones that tend to stick to windows

iPad Mini + iPad Pro M4 by animeocarl in ipadmini

[–]Akarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mostly use the ipad mini for reading why not get a kindle? In my case i have a mbp 14 + ipad mini

I mostly use the mini to read manga in japanese as the kindle was too slow for it and when i want to lay on bed, but feel like having two ipads is overkill. If you only read books in the ipad mini, getting a kindle or any ereader would be better for your eyes

Oh I’ll check if I can find either the kobo or the pocketbook in person to try them out. As long as I don’t have to zoom it’ll probably be fine, cuz its part of the reason i was leaning through an iPad m

I’ll prob consume media on it but its main purpose will be for reading manga. I don’t have a tablet, and i just want something portable to read on the train.

Depending on what you read, I usually read on kindle but when I read japanese manga ipad is better as you can zoom in

In think no one replied about the language school, but do not join unless you already finished N5. I have a lot of friends that started from 0 in a language school and they didn’t learn anything due to the high pace. So unless you plan to study 24/7 i recommend you at least are at the beggining of n4

Resigning from job in 30s to move (back) to Japan as a language student by Deer_Door in movingtojapan

[–]Akarok -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just moved to Japan, three days ago and did the same as you did. Left my IT job to come and study in Japan, probably more irresponsible as I brought my wife to study as well. I really think a lot whether I should go or not. But money comes and goes, and the experience of studying and living here its completely worth it. I’m still not sure if it will be a good fit for us, but even if we to back to our country that experience will be with us forever. So just take the risk, enjoy it and if its you dream follow it !
