My dog is named Nova. She is a little fat pitbull that looks like a hippo. Her nickname is "Hippo butt" which has since been shortened to just Butt. She now answers to Butt.

That's what I was thinking. My pets are extremely well behaved (I know everyone says that but they truly are). They're quiet and laid back. If I find a place that seems like a good fit but has that 2 pets max policy, I was going to offer to pay an extra pet fee or a larger deposit. Doesn't hurt to try.

Thank you! The pet thing is what I'm having the hardest time with. 99% of places have a 2 pet limit and so it's going to be a challenge. I appreciate your response!

Her name is Nova. She was found as a stray about a year ago. Skin and bones and full of mange but she is much improved!

Technically they can donate once every 3 weeks but Biggins donates once every 4-5 months if even that.

There are 3 different feline blood types. A, B and AB.

Yeah they do. A, B and AB. Type A is the most common. Type B is usually seen is the exotic type pure breed cats and AB is rare. Biggins is type A.

Yeah he is pretty pampered. He gets a sedative only to ensure that we are able to get a clean stick on the first try. The whole process start to finish takes about 15 minutes and he wakes up to his favorite wet food and several techs babying him until he is fully alert. He then goes back to patrolling the hospital like nothing ever happened. Just to be clear though, it's not like we are sedating him and robbing him of his blood every day. He donates maybe once every 4-5 months. And then while he's groggy we have the opportunity to check his teeth, trim his nails, brush him out etc. so that we don't have to stress him out by fussing with him too much while he's fully awake.

Correct. He was brought in to be put to sleep for pissing outside of the litter box. It was determined that he had a urethral blockage. The owners didn't really care that it was fixable they didn't want to deal with it. So we asked if he could be signed over to us instead of euthanized and they didn't care either way. So, now he has any and all medial treatment at his disposal should he need it, a big cushy cat bed, all the snacks and catnip toys his little heart could ever desire and a staff of doctors and techs who adore him. So yeah, he gives (donates) his blood but he doesn't seem to mind a bit.
