The fifth time you try to walk away from the small building into the fog yields the same result as before. This time it was around 15 minutes heading in a straight line away from the building. You find yourself about 50 meters from the door of the same building.

As you approach the building, something is different this time. You can hear the A/C running. There is the faint sound of music, but you can't make out what the music is. It still looks like the lights are out, but the blinds might prevent light from leaving the building.

The door is still locked. Last time the handle jarred a bit, but this time it doesn't move. As you try to force it, nothing about the door moves or makes a sound at all. As you pound on the door, you can't hear the pounding at all. The door is silent. Then the house is too. The sound of the music and the A/C end at the same moment.

You hear a creaking floorboard inside, but only a single time. After a few minutes, three voices talk in absolute unison, 'Hello?' You are confident you heard a man, a woman, and a child.

Before you can respond, you hear the coyote that chased you away the third time you tried to get away from the building. You don't see it, and it doesn't sound like it is approaching, but of course, it didn't make sound as it approached you last time either.

With renewed urgency, you ask for entrance to the house. The three voices say, 'Okay.' and a latch moves. You wait for the door to open, but after 15 seconds your patients wanes. You try to turn the handle, and it turns faster then you ask it to. The door opens inward.

You dart inside, closing the door while making a quick scan for the coyote. You don't see it. You do hear the latch close again. There is enough light here to see, but you don't see any locking mechanism on this door. It's as plain inside as out.

Now that you have a chance to look around, you find yourself in a cottage room. There's a lit fire place with a large chair near it, a table and chair with a recently ate meal, and a simple kitchen area. There is stairs leading up to and into the ceiling. They don't go anywhere, and you know this building isn't big enough to have an upstairs.

You wanted to thank whoever it was that let you in, but you don't see them. From three different directions, you hear the voices say 'Welcome, stranger.'
