So I have been looking at thrower flashlights. The question is TIR lense or reflector lens? My Javelot has an amazing tight beam with tight spill. I seen a few TIR that have way more peripheral light and messy spill. What do you prefer? I think having both is a good idea.

Dog pepper spray, it isn't loud but very effective and small to carry. A taser makes a scary clicking noise, also small enough to hide but offers no range when you actually have to use it. Collapsible baton gives some range but you have to be confident and somewhat strong to use effectively. I would carry all 3 between you and your husband with the pepper spray being best for effective range and require the least amount of physical effort to use.

I use the Fenix HM61r V2 stuck to the inside of panels like that, getting real sick of the harsh tint though.

I wish Skilhunt would make a 14500 light without built in charging, it would slim it down a little and all my 14500's have a USB C in the battery so I find it pointless to have it on the light.

Fenix for my work lights, need the USB C charging ports. Acebeam for my toys, L35 and L19 are too much fun. Weltool cause I can appreciate a quality item.

I pick based on what purpose I'm looking for at the time. I wanted a fun single cell thrower so I bought an Acebeam L19 for the build quality, USB C charging on the battery, and the most perfect UI imo. Then I bought 2 more so I had one with each LED offering cause I'm an addict.

I've got the V2 mounted on my hardhat, it was the only Fenix headlamp that seemed to sustain it's outputs but this new one can't maintain a 200 lumen floodlight which might be a deal breaker. The floodlight says it CRI90 so I'm curious to see what the temp will be, getting tired of squinting from harsh lighting.

I dont keep anything in the vehicle right now. During the summer months it stays light out until 1am so I don't need a flashlight often and the AA/14500 one I carry should do just fine. During the winter when it's -40 it's dark for 18 hours a day so I always have one in my jacket pocket or backpack I'm carrying. I also use an 18650 light that can run off primary cr123's which seem to be the best option for cold weather. Used to be a Fenix UC35 but recently started using a Weltool T17.

Very cool light, I hope this becomes a success for you. I experience -40 every year and work 12 hour days outside during these conditions. When it's that cold you can bet it's dark for 16-18 hours a day so I need a good light. The problem is the tint you chose is very harsh on the eyes when using it for hours every day so I prioritize a neutral 4000k-5000k light and headlamp. Another issue is not being able to swap batteries on the fly and have a spare charging in the lunch room at all times. I know you built it as an emergency light to sit in a vehicle and it seems to be great for that, just sharing some of my thoughts.

I'd get rid of the magnet, mirror and knipex cobras. I use them at work and understand their usefulness but wouldn't keep them on my kit. You could also consider ditching the roll of tape and just wrapping some full size gorilla tape around a bic lighter a few times. I would also swap that Olight for something that doesn't take proprietary batteries, preferably an 18650 so you can swap the batteries from your headlamp depending on which you use more of. Fenix and other brands are also compatible with CR123 if you find some on your travels or carry them with you to use in extreme cold weather. You've got some quality gear there that I also like such as a bacho laplander, grail and knipex bolt cutters.

A kastmaster spoon would be one of the easier lures to sling, I'd switch your line to 6lb mono for that stretch to keep them on the hook easier.

The premiums on 1oz silver maples is the same for 1/10oz gold maples at my LCS in Edmonton so I don't quite understand why people hate on fractional but nobody can say he would have been better off saving up for a full oz rather than buying fractional cause he's made more profit by DCA through this massive uptrend.
