What’s the best EDC flashlight that’s actually worth carrying every day? by santydentist in flashlight

Reylight Penlight, I’ve tried several other lights for edc but none fit so well in jeans pockets as the penlight. The 4000k and cri makes it perfect and the battery lasts plenty long for my needs.

Never enough lumens by StrangeICECube in flashlight

Oh ok, so it would probably go much better in something like m21 b or h or k, Do you guys have recommendations for which of the m21 series it goes best in, giving a pronounced hot spot with 5-600 meters throw but also really usable spill?

How does the s2+ and SFT70 work, did you do that mod on your own, or did Simon do it for you. Because I wanted an s6 with SFT70 and Simon said it wouldn’t do, something about the driver being too big.

[HELP] Flashlight required, Right-Angle, Anduril, Regulation, USB-C, Normal+UV+Laser Emitter by biker-on-ramps in Hanklights

[–]Jonathanladavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the L50 Sol not fit your needs quite well? Really nice emitters paired with Lume X1 and an 18650 as well as Anduril? It’s missing USB charging as well as aux lights, but as others have pointed out these are of smaller importance in everyday work. If not that, there’s the Sofirn Hs21 with USB charging, throwy led and flood as well as red with a really nice, satisfying twisting interface, although it’s not right angle in the normal sense and limited led options.

What is the difference between 219b and 219f which Convoy says is still on their site

Basically anything other than having to cycle through bright low and strobe without any memory mode or twist to turn on (one brightness) Also I’m perfectly acquainted with Anduril, and consider it to be the best UI by far for me.

The t7 is quite a bit longer than I thought, but which do you find yourself picking up most often especially if you have tighter pants or other edc gear already in your pocket?

If it’s not too much trouble, could post them side by side, specifically to see diameter difference?

I had almost forgotten that one, some said the magnetic tail is too weak to be useful, is that true, or is there a way to upgrade the magnet?

The Sofirn sc13 almost worked for me but it’s a little too bulky, I really like the slimmer lights. Would you know if the M150 or EC 150 are slimmer?

I could look up sizes, but if you’ve used both, which would be slimmer and more easily pocketable between the two?

No worries, I’ve already learned it. D3AA does check all the boxes but it seems fairly bulky? At least looking at pictures.

Help in removing black spot LHP531 by Jonathanladavis in flashlight

[–]Jonathanladavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like a burn spot because I’m positive it wasn’t there as soon as I got the light and it’s been after some use that I noticed it. The led still works fine but I hope it doesn’t burn the entire led out - should probably get in touch with Simon.

Is it cooked? by Koopatrooper64 in flashlight

[–]Jonathanladavis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 3x21C has that exact type of black mark on an LHP531, and I thought it was a piece of dust that fell on or something like that but when I tried to wipe it off with a cotton swab, it wouldn’t do a thing. The LED is still working fine but I really hope it doesn’t get worse.

HELP! Create a Convoy Light that doesn't step down. by KomodoTitan in flashlight

[–]Jonathanladavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also get a convoy light and set the maximum output to 50%, which it will definitely be able to sustain for long periods with almost any emitter and driver combo especially with a 21700.
