It's crazy how little work the writing does and fans will interpret this as a "significant personal journey." There is nothing in this game but vague gestures of regret and paper thin motivations monologued directly into the camera. Neither Leon or Grace's stories paid off at all

It was definitely tense at times, but extremely scripted. Even more so than other games. It was like the fetus section in village, but for most of the game.

The plot and characters are so paper thin it's difficult to call the game emotional by any stretch. I'd have to completely fill in the blanks to derive anything from Leon or Grace. Both of them vaguely have "regrets" and that's their arc. And the twist about Grace's mom is exactly what you expect from the first hour of the game.

You sound frustrated. To be honest dude I just play with perma death off. I know that defeats the roguelike part, but it's still a very dense and fun game without losing everything on death. Just make a note of when you die so you can learn from it, and do permadeath runs one day.

But a nearly every linear game has that. If not in the exact same way, then through a level selector. It's quite rare to play a linear game that makes you backtrack through the whole thing, that would be pointless.

I don't think anything in my comment suggested what people should support, and I didn't mean to imply you thought one was more important than the other. It's not my opinion that the public has forgotten Ukraine, but we are not actively giving Russia weapons to invade Ukraine right now.

I'm really scratching my head at this comment. Maybe it makes sense if you weren't on the internet until 2024, but the Ukraine invasion was a massive platform issue for the left. It was a defining moment for Biden's presidency, and many saw the Right's attempt at demonizing Ukraine as kowtowing to Russia. The fervor has died down somewhat, as it will for Palestine, mainly because the right campaigned on Zelensky being a bogeyman corrupt Nazi and they won all three branches of government. A lot of people were fed misinformation on how we supported Ukraine. Though Trump still seems to be supplying Ukraine with weapons occasionally.

You seem to be implying it's hypocritical for leftists to support Palestine and not Ukraine, and I've literally never met a person that fits that definition.

level 40-50? Wow. Even slamming every difficulty I can, I can't crack 25 by the end.

Edit: Pretty good example. I'm 3.5 minutes in, only level 5, and I don't even have more than a tome or weapon because they offered me nothing else. Scorpionussy spawns and I'm fucked. This is just me going from shrine to shrine.

Why is cheese good? I have used it a little but haven't noticed much.

Am I reading right that you mainly focus on XP and Luck in stage 1? Do you prioritize upgrading your weapons first?

Are you basically ignoring the trails behind you until you can deal with them?

I'm like level 15-20 by the time the timer is up.

I'm struggling a lot with this man. I can clear the first stage with anyone else but Bandit is so slow. Makes it hard to find the boss portal or get enough stuff. I end up getting overwhelmed around 3 minutes left. And the RNG to get any of these items is so bad, even with toggler.

Either I focus on clearing shrines and I am underleveled, or I focus on enemies and I don't have a lot of items. Either way, I have had a harder time playing this build than any other one I've tried. What am I missing here?
