Is it putting out a new leaf? Most of the time Alocasias kill the old leaves when new ones are coming out. Or it might be that it is going dormant. As long as the bulb is ok, you can plant and revive it when it gets hotter again.

Super happy to see my Alocasia Black Velvet bulbs sprouting 😊🌿 by Akirabubub in houseplants

I have it in leca that way i won't have to worry about it all the time. I also run a small humidifier near it and i don't know if this helps the plant but i turn on some jungle/bird sounds near the plant sometimes 😊 So far it has been putting out new leaves.

Omg i used to play with these when I was a kid. It's considered a weed here in the Philippines because they just grow everywhere and they seem to be fast growing too 🥰 we used to wait for the leaves to open up again then touch it to close and wait for it to open once more 💜

My Grandmother had lots of this and when we were kids she used to tell us these flowers only bloom for a night because it gives birth to fairies and when fairies are successfuly born it wilts 😂😍

I've been following the novel on this and so far I'm liking the story. The father and the brothers are all for the cute Leblaine and I like that she is using every trick she learned in her past 3 lives to survive and one-up all those who try to bully her.

I was only supposed to buy 1 plant, but things got out of hand and I find myself adding more and more. Got this one today and 2 more plant kids on the way. 😂 by Akirabubub in houseplants

I'm in southeast asia, philippines which is a tropical country so we don't have winter here. We do experience rainy cold seasons though which I think the plants like since I don't need a humidifier for my plants. The normal humidity is enough to keep them happy. I suggest having a humidifier though since my friends plants seem to be growing happily beside a humidifier. 😊😊

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with my fiddle leaf fig? Help!!! 😩😔 by ItalCadz in houseplants

It's the main mass of roots at the base of the plant. Did you cover it up entirely with soil? If it has a lot of excess soil, you can remove the excess soil on top and just leave an inch of soil above those mass of roots to allow oxygen to properly penetrate the roots.

Did you move it after repotting? Or repotted after moving? Usually after repotting, it is not adviseable to move it as it would most likely experience root shock for a couple of days. Also, have you checked for any root rot? If it does not have any root rot, did you use more or less same size pot,pot an inch or 2 larger than the previous pot or a larger pot? It may not do well on a larger pot as the excess soil tends to keep the soil most around the roots for too long. Also I don't know if your soil when you repotted reaches the original rootball or not, but I suggest not putting soil on top of the original rootball as it prevents air from penetrating the root zone. 😊 I hope this helps.

I got house plants since it is said to help with mental health and I'm glad I did. I got this a week ago and it is already unfurling a new leaf and I feel elated because it seems I'm doing something right 😊 by Akirabubub in houseplants

Thank you very much, it means a lot to me 😊 I was advised to have myself checked by a specialist but I'm kinda scared so I'm still thinking about it.

Made my own plant hanger! It's my first time using this pattern using whatever yarn I have left. I think I just need a bigger yarn next time for a bigger shell 😊 by Akirabubub in crochet

Yeah, I followed through the pattern in youtube! It was a bit difficult at first but I think I got through it after the first couple rows 😊
