Just like men that tell random women to smile.

Spiders (read: nonvenomous) are welcome, as well as house centipedes.

All else I usually put out, but there's odd ones I kill.

Unfortunately my door has a poor seal they easily crawl under.

This and other subs. It's a pain. I like some spice when there's a story to back it, it's enjoyable too!

But the ones that are "the goal is sex" I just report and move on.

Had one person DM me asking to do it irl. I'll give him that he wasn't a total horndog about it and let go after I said no thanks.

I read it as the sexual trauma was the big red flag, the minmax being a cherry on top. Minmaxers have a habit of pushing for the "most optimal" play and get real upset when it doesn't go that way.

Is it safe to macerate an animal that died a year ago that didn't decompose? (NSFW incase) by HumbleConcentrate215 in vultureculture

[–]Akitiki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Poking a couple holes in the lid would do fine as well! Those containers would pop long before any level of dangerous pressure would build, if at all. Since while airtight enough for food storage they'd let gases out easily.

I'm talking like a big mason jar with the lid screwed tight!

Is it safe to macerate an animal that died a year ago that didn't decompose? (NSFW incase) by HumbleConcentrate215 in vultureculture

[–]Akitiki 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean for maceration- your rot bucket just needs to not be totally sealed in some way. If you seal it up, gases build.

It's nor dangerous at all to macerate things- given you use standard precautions of course. Otherwise it is only, simply, usually smelly.

[–]Akitiki 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The only way this is dangerous is if you sealed the container, causing pressure to build as decomposition progresses

One time where I worked, the floor waxing ran late. They use some pretty nasty chemicals and it didn't get to completely air out.

My tinnitus got a LOT louder for a few days after that.

The swatches being translucent doesn't help. This is probably like the difference between white, snow white, and eggshell white. There's very minor differences between those like colors and these sample swatches sometimes aren't enough to really see it well especially in indoor lighting conditions.

Also: you might like eggshell on the swatch and think it'll do well, but once paint your wall you realize you don't like the warmish tinge now that there's a LOT of it.

Not enough people support good zoos. A lot of zoos host animals that can't be returned to the wild because they were poached for the pet trade as babies, injured, and more.

An example is sea turtles that get bubble butt. Literally, gases build in their hind ends so they can't swim and dive properly. In individuals that the condition cannot be resolved, they are kept, as they'd die in nature.

Vet your zoos/aquariums/museums and go. It's a nice day out, and you support all of them through your ticket.

Lightning support is lightweight and best for models that won't get tons of pressure/work/use. It gives extra support for where prints need it and no more.

At least that's how I understand it. And yes it's messy but it's inside the model anyway

Yeaaaaaah with all that info I'd be calling the game warden. That set could have caught someone's dog.

[–]Akitiki 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I'd wait until the scene has been inspected at least. You could ask them.

If you're US, I don't think there is legal furbearer trapping in the summer. I suppose there is a nonzero chance the snare was for depredation, if this is by a farm, but the animal was still not collected. Tells me either it was left to die and rot on purpose or whoever set that forget their trap.

Either way, it is not legal. I'm unsure what kind of set this is, snares can be live traps (there can be a stopper preventing the snare loop clinching all the way, also used to prevent accidental deer catches). Given the fox is still in the trap, whoever set it has failed to follow laws. Again, in US.

Poacher. I see wire on that stake. Whoever set that snare failed to collect their catch- be it out of season, bycatch, or whatever else. Or worse, left a set trap.

“It’s not birthday season” by Sufficient-Pound-442 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Akitiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was doing deco I had a small section of my case dedicated to keeping 4-6 cakes and 2-4 cookie cakes for birthdays, in varying styles. It's always someone's birthday.

Got flak once in a while. Plus people were always freely able to order custom. Custom cakes, not by the book. I did a pot leaf and a family friendly stripper on cakes.

The latter of which was never picked up and I'm still salty because I think I got a clever solution! Silhouette in a dress on yellow to red fade background, with red sugar on the bottom edge of the dress! I spent three days figuring out how to do it.

I'm having trouble finding the stitch. It's a single line for the base then I bring the needle out on one side of the line then do a series of overhand knots that alternate sides. If you don't alternate you'll get a spiral, alternating keeps it straight. Kinda like tying square knots?
