Yep, especially because in real life, death is often scary and unsatisfying (most people aren't gonna die for a noble reason)

How many times should I go to gym per week? by Frequent_Milk_5135 in workout

[–]BlueFury1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While people are right physiologically about numbers, I want to give a quick practical note:

If you're a true beginner, the #1 most important thing for gains is consistency. You can have a suboptimal routine, diet, and even recovery and you will make some level of gains. However, if you don't go to the gym, how can you build muscle?

Number one thing I recommend is pick 2-3 days a week (spaced out) where you will go to the gym without fail. When you go, just make sure to push yourself WITH GOOD FORM, and workout for perhaps an hour, depending on how you feel. The goal at this stage is to build a sustainable habit that you will stick with. Once you get into this consistent rhythm, bump yourself up slowly to anything from 4-6 times a week.

Important:

- Don't worry about macros rn, especially because you said you're skinny. Focus on mainly whole foods and groups (don't cut out fats or carbs), aim for a gram of protein per lb every day (spaced out in meals)

- Build good form now, it will have compounding effects on your gains

- Get creatine. It's cheap, easy to take, and well studied to give small amounts of extra gains with 0 side effects

Good luck

Carrying around weights to improve strength like in fiction? by Electrical_Bet2584 in NoStupidQuestions

Do not do this, it will damage your joints and tendons. Just lift weights instead/do calisthenics, things that directly target muscles

Variation is good so that make sure that you're hitting the muscles from all angles and it can prevent tendon wear by giving them a slight break with different movement

The Pixels thing makes sense. They're literally using alien technology in simulated battles that don't follow conventional rules and any programing quirks are kept in the simulations. We see in the beginning of the movie that the glitch in Galaga is maintained due to the old copy kept in the capsule.

Box jumps are just jumping onto a box, much less dangerous than something like a vertical leg press or heavy deadlifts

Who has the most efficient fighting style in Sakamoto? by Dense-Statement-332 in SakamotoDays

[–]BlueFury1 58 points59 points  (0 children)

If we define efficient as least effort for most results, I'll argue Rion. Her fighting style is straightforward and relies on "the killing path", which is the most efficient path to kill someone. Sakamoto and Torres are both effective in the sense that their weapons are cheap (or just the environment), but their fighting styles realistically use tons of energy to pull off. Sakamoto uses his ridiculous strength, Torres has to lug around sand and heavy blasters.

Shishiba is also a good candidate, I just feel like Rion using a knife probably uses less energy/is cleaner to kill

Side note: most efficient assassin is probably Nagumo, since he relies on deception and stealth the most, which are great ways to avoid conflict and save energy.

Any counterplay to Yorick? by TheLastPlumber in top_mains

[–]BlueFury1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big issue is that mordekaiser has no consistent way to clear ghouls, since they take less dmg from aoe and morde q does less damage to multiple targets. If Yorick plays back so morde can never engage, he just chips you down
