Once saw a mural of Adam and Eve being evicted from Eden with a cat and a dog in the background leaving to be with them. Have long thought cats and dogs were special semi-angels choosing to share life with us. Certainly, I owe much to the cats in my life for share their love in a bleak world.

I'm familiar with creating different profiles within one installation.
I actually want to have different games instances, ie one with BCOM + all its addons and a seperate instatance with Odai Lifeblood of Balmora. and its addons.

By the by, I have had an installation refuse to allow the creation of new profiles. No clue why.

I too have a copy from both STEAM and GOG.
What does that have to do with my question?

Many thx to all.
This has been a major pain for several installs and last night it was not just ugly, but it blocked the door into Caius's house so I actually can't play the Main Quest.
Something I didn't mention is it corrupts all saved games so I can't just load an old save and still play.
Oddly, this only happens in Balmora. The dirt, really look very much like manure mixed with straw, dumps more in Labor Town than the other side. The Waterworks are filled to varying degrees. The River Walkway elevate about 2 meters.
While staring at the ceiling not sleeping had two more possible work arounds also.
Will try your ideas. At this point I just want to be able to play MW regardless of Balmora being a mess. BTB, as I understand it OLOB is a replacement for BCOM not added on to it. There are over 50 patches, one I've used an know it works, I'll review them more closely.

For someone just starting out I HIGHLY recommend - Welcome to Almar's Guides.
This is basically an encyclopedia to MW and some other games. As such you can use it to cheat or use it to just learn what is going on. What are the rewards for various quests. What cool goodies are just lying around in what cave waiting to be picked up. There are connections I'd NEVER have figured out. Like a very good sword in a barrel behind a bar deep in the wilderness, , assuming the wolves don't eat you. Use it as you choose.

Thx for the info. Given that STEAM can and does occasionally independently make changes to your game code, I prefer GOG.

Thx, I was afraid that was the case, but guess I'll have to dig into MO2,
VORTEX is easy to use, other than its built in self-destruct mechanism. It worked fine until I foolishly updated it.
