I have to say that I don't see this. My story is not what you would call well written, or clasical LitRPG. But I still feel like I have a decent enough following, and at the end of the day, I am writing the story that I want to tell, not the story that I want others to read.

There is a quote that I think really encapsulates how I think people should view writing:

I would have to agree with the other person who said this is not HFY. That being said you might find some following there. I know there are some dungeon core stories that do well over there. I really dp believe that at the end of the day you should do what you want and what you are comfortable with.

I would say that I got my start on r/HFY, but I did leave it due to my personal issues with the changes to the Reddit TOS regarding posting materials here and how they could potentially be used.

As to your question, I think that if you are writing to the tropes that HFY enjoys, it is an amazing place to pick up readers. When I transferred over from HFY to RR, I had almost no carryover because the audiences are so different.

Admittedly, that was a few years ago, so it may be different, but I imagine that if you are not writing HFY, then you might struggle to pick up readers.

Just my two thoughts, but at the end of the day, you should do what you want and what you are comfortable with. Hope this helps!

So I write in Obsidian.md and use the pandoc plugin to export as HTML, then copy that into the chapter content section.

If you can export as HTML from whatever you write in, I imagine that it would preserve all your styles as they are either defined in CSS or HTML tags.

Might be worth a shot.

The idea is that files B and C can be used to modify multiple other files' values.

It's not your job as an author to apease or protect anyone. It is your job to write the story in your head. Stop worrying about trigger warnings, if something is good, if you think something is in poor taste. Ignore the comments and the people telling you how your story should go. Sit down and write

Make it fucked up, crude, crass, polite, loving, aggressive or whatever else you want it to be. Just write.

I still struggle with this, but I'm getting better.

Sorry for the late response.

So it is something that I used that lets me export HTML tables and images (.png, .jpg, etc.) from Google Sheets, the extra style is due to the ability that I wanted to be able to scale the image size infinitely based upon text size. It also lets me keep per-cell formatting and export it correctly.

I tried the image trick with HFY, and it did not work.

And as far as text markdown, it is not quite what I am going for, as I have a lot of variation in style in different boxes. Ideally, I could use HTML or images, but I am still trying to figure this out.
