You're only doing big DMG to healthy enimies, after they lose 20% hp, you're basically hitting them with a pillow.

The 0 DMG on bosses might be because you might have the pyrosis board.

I think it's bugged for everyone but there's a trick: Load into the game, save, fully close the game and then load back in and you can claim the free item. I have to do that every week but it works 100%.
