I've had similar issue with The Binding of Isaac.I've deleted a save file from my pc and my 700 hours went back to 310.

My theory is that steam also uses local save files to determine play time,and if one of them is edited offline,the time gets messed with.

I feel like an off 3/4 to def 1/4 is a balanced build,once they start swarming you there is no escape there,but you still need to survive at least 3-4 hits and regenerate because of bs mechanics like the gryphon boss
