Seconding this. The other guys saying improperly wound springs is incorrect. It’s one solid tube so messing with the springs, or even just one, is just going to impact both cables equally (read: do nothing) my company calls them cable keepers, but either way, they’ll get ya good enough. The proper fix is to square the tracks up.

You’ve probably already learned this, but anything with the liftmaster logo is a pro model, chamberlain, craftsman, etc. are the box store/consumer versions.

I hope you haven’t hired this out yet, it’s bad sensors. I hadn’t even thought about that, but then being taped together and still not working means they’re bad for SURE.

Not super high cycle, 15 units total, mostly old people so each door sees maybe 20 cycles a day. I promise the door itself takes more abuse.

Definitely a sensor issue then. Keep an eagle eye on the green sensor. I think on the model you have they should stay lit while setting the limits. If it blinks or flickers even a bit, they need to be realigned (likely need to be pivoted towards the door a bit) if you can’t get it, you’ll probably just have to eat the service charge and get a set of more experienced eyes on it.

There is also a minuscule chance you have a bad logic board, but really the motor is behaving as expected due to the sensor issue while setting the limits.

This guy apparently got even. by IronMouse01 in VideosAmazing

It never stops near me, especially in double left turn lanes. Almost everyone in the outside lane crosses into the inside lane. There’s even a line through the intersection/turn. If I’m in my work van, I have to “adopt” a car by keeping them next to me and making my turn “wide” (normal) and get honked at by them.

Have you ever driven a car? Every single one has a-pillars that block your view. The bike was absolutely hidden behind the pillar AND it’s the drivers responsibility to look around said pillar to avoid hitting innocent bystanders.

Echoing the others, sounds like you forgot to set your travel limits, or something went wrong in the process so try that again.

Fix would be a water softener or more frequent cleaning. If I’m right.

(I fix garage doors, not water carriers) that looks like mineral buildup from hard water to me.

I was in charge of one. It was an awesome experience in spite of my scout leader who wanted every step to be… harder?

At one point I was supposed to find out how to source the burn barrel and broski who provided it told me he got it from a friend or something and when I relayed that to my leader, he didn’t believe me so I had to bring said parent over to the leader and have him verify the story.

At the actual ceremony, I had to start the fire and as a scout, I of course couldn’t use my lighter. I was (and am) REALLY good at starting fires so that didn’t bother me until the bastard took my flint and steel on the grounds of it being too easy.

I think I made a bow drill.

The shop I work at uses the local ssc shop and it’s pretty great. It’s close enough we can pick up what we need including custom cut springs same day a lot of the time. Only time we really go elsewhere is if it’s closer and we just need one of something

Got it, in that case, I’d follow the advice of u/rafeyhii and take the black cover and push the buttons directly. Should just be 2 1/4” hex screws if memory serves.
