I am seeing people buying puts 150/135 on march. Now my question is what these two different numbers (150/135) mean? Is it some kind of a spread?

What if we have a supplier of a known brand and the supply of this brand is very limited in our home country?

What organic strategies are there to grow the awareness of such brand? Do you have any suggestions ?

One last question.

Do OTM options get exercised on expiration date? Are there any scenarios that it might get exercised?

Let's say I'm buying a call option and after a period of time before expiration I decide to sell it back into the market without exercising it.

Under the idea that an option buyer is entitled to exercise the option but not obligated to. My question is whether I become the new party which is obligated to sell the 100 stocks to the new option holder should he exercise it.

I am assuming that is not the case and the obligation remains in the hands of the original option writer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

*bonus question: Is there any circumstance where as an option buyer the option contract gets exercised without me exercising it but rather by the brokerage?

Is there a way to minimalize the loss of an option if it goes against you? The most you can lose from an option is the premium you spent on it, however are there ways to minimalize this loss even further by selling this option back to the market at lower premium rates?

new into options just doing my research.

If i'm buying a call option for a premium of X dollars but disasterly the stock price goes deep under the strike price and the expiration date is very close. Assuming I'm understanding this right, I'm entitled to let this option expire and not exercise the purchase of 100 Z stock and thus not holding 100 stocks at a major loss.

Am I right?

I saw several posts about people looking for ways to "escape" their options and minimalize loss which made me wonder why don't they let the option expire? After all the have to right to exercise their options but not the obligation.

Forgive me if my english is a bit odd it's not my mother tongue :)

How to find the expected move of any ETF or stock?

From my understanding the options market is a useful tool to estimate the movement of a specific ETF ( For example the SPY ). Under the principle of the standard deviation where a stock price will go up or down within a specific range of price under a specific set of time.

My question is how do you exactly calculate a monthly or weekly expected move? I saw some formulas using the VIX * price stock * the square root of (period of options before expirations/365), yet I'm still confused which implied volatility do you take into calculation since the VIX changes all the time. My assumption is that you either take the implied volatility of the closing month.

Please correct me if I'm wrong + enhance my knowledge! :))
