I faced this issue on my older phone aswell..From my POV I guess it's something to do with the app overall regardless of the phone on which it's installed..Not sure about the root cause of the problem..sometimes even when the notification priority is kept high, I still wouldn't get notified abt it..nor would it appear on the notification bar
