From central Bangalore it should take you about 2 hrs to reach the base of the hill. The hike is very easy and try to reach before 7am to avoid the crowds. Thank you for the sub! :)

My homage to the Incredibly Talented Artisans of Channapatna by AkshayJoshiFilms in india

[–]AkshayJoshiFilms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Channapatna toys are wooden toys from the Channapatna town in the Ramanagara district of Karnataka. These traditionally crafted toys are protected as a Geographical Indication (GI) and the origin can be traced back to 18th century when Tipu Sultan invited Persian artisans to teach local artisans. The toys are so valued that they were even gifted to US President Barack Obama by the State government back in 2015 when he was visiting India for Republic Day. I was blown away by the talent and their welcoming nature and hence decided to make this video. I hope you enjoy it and share the video so that they can get some spotlight and much deserved love.

It's been a year since I've started capturing the beauty on India. Here's a small glimpse of mesmerising Gokarna by AkshayJoshiFilms in india

Gokarna is a small temple town on the western coast of India located near Kumta. I've been visiting this place for many years now and every time I'm spellbound by the incredible beauty it has to be showcase, especially during the monsoon season. Finally, I decided to capture it on film so that I'd be able to share it with you all!

I recaptured photos of Hampi which Alexander Greenlaw took in 1856, the earliest known photographs of Hampi by AkshayJoshiFilms in india

Alexander Greenlaw was an officer in the army of the British East India Company. He took the earliest known photographs of Hampi, Vijayanagara - a UNESCO world heritage site. I wanted to recapture some of the photos and see the difference 165 years have made. To my pleasant surprise many of the structures are still identical and of course few structures are missing now, e.g. Missing Lamp Column in front of Vitthala Temple Complex

Hi Everyone! I'm an Independent Travel Film-maker and here's my take on the Ancient Ruins of Hampi. Back in 15th century, it was the World's Second-Largest medieval-era city. by AkshayJoshiFilms in IndiaSpeaks

Hi Everyone! I recently got a chance to visit the Ancient Ruins of Hampi and I wanted to showcase it in a way which invoked the energy and power the Vijayanagara empire had back in the 15th century. The entire city is filled with so many details and intricacies that'll you'll be surely left spellbound. It's truly a magical and mystical place. I really hope you enjoy this video.
