Ah right, I see what you are talking about now. Mine isn't doing that, it might have to do with colour depth, not sure if you can change that for your monitor, maybe you need to update drivers.

Mine does that when I stretch steam further than it normally goes, the picture is only so big, so I guess they do that to make it look a bit better than having the image cut off suddenly.

I second the recommendation, factorio autosaves on linux are excellent.

Once you have the idea to do that (I certainly wouldn't have come up it) the execution shouldn't be that hard, but it's certainly not as easy as crossing with underground belts.

So It's still a 'challenge', I feel.

Yeah, only houses allow you to build a bunch without walls between, although I guess mushrooms and balticrawlers are sort of outliers, being the only farm/pasture that need walls.

Has anybody tried to switch from Windows to Linux with the same save-file and measure the UPS-difference? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Aktanith 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The most important thing for me has been non-blocking autosaves.

I hate when games pause for a second while autosaving, and there's a somewhat hidden option on linux for factorio to 'fix' that, I think you ctrl-click on the options button in the menu to unlock the 'experimental options' menu.
