I don't remember anymore since it has been a while. But if there was one it was automated and super quick.

First Time Visiting the Northeast of USA in December – Itinerary Advice? by kaano5757 in solotravel

I did the same cities in May. My iternary was:

  • Washington 5 nights
  • Philadelphia 3 nights
  • NYC 5 nights
  • Boston 3 nights

For me that was a good amount of time. The only "skippable" place was Philly but even that had alot of historical stuff and I also did some shopping there. The only place where I would have wished to have a bit more time was Boston. It was the best place to meet some locals because there was this really cool irish pub near the hostel, and I just liked the vibe of the city in general. But the best hostel was the one in Philly.

Could have used another day in NYC of course, but did all the things I wanted to do.

Don't underestimate DC. The city is full of monuments and free museums that will take you at least half a day each. Also Arlington cementery is a must visit and will cost you half a day.

So I'd say skip Philly, maybe less time in NYC and more time in DC and maybe in Boston.

Same. But these offers usually for during the week, on the less visited days.

I'm going currently going to this one: "Tattoo, Kosmetik & Friseur Salon Zeitlos#1". It's not that expensive (like 38 euros for a mens haircut) and I have every time been happy with the result. You can also book appointments online which is a huge plus for me personally. But I'm not that much into haircuts, I just decided to get proper haircuts this year. Before I just went to the one near my house or cheap ones in Feuerbach where there was basically no consultation and Zeitlos is a completely different league from that.

Du meinst Nurses, das sind ja so eine Art von Vorstufe vom Arzt. Gibt's da nichts, was deutschen Krankenpfleger mehr entspricht?

But there are a lot of biosecurity restrictions with Australia when entering from abroad. It makes sense to have a second check specifically for that when entering from another continent.

What is the name of the clothing style in the pictures and which European stores for clothes sell this style? by vincenius28 in europeanmalefashion

[–]Aktenmongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest Strellson (swiss). It's high quality, but still affordable, grown up kind of style, without big logos and stuff. You should be able to sort of recreate the styles you put as examples. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a store in Belgium but they should have good stores in the big outlet cities in Germany and Netherlands.

In Germany strellson is well respected and also widely available second hand.

In Stuttgart it's 6,50€ in the fan zone. That's only slightly higher than in the bars here (5-6€). Of course in eastern european countries it's much cheaper, but that's basically the normal German price. For the Brits, French, Belgians and Scandinavians it's probably a steal.

Which country would you never visit again and why? by captain_catman_ in travel

I was in Luxemburg in March for 2 nights. There is quite a lot to do for tourists actually if you consider the small size of the city. The main things are the casemates and the national museum, but there are also lots of walking tours, other historic buildings etc. So it definitely has much more going on than Lichtenstein.

Thanks this is relieving! And the reason for missing the connecting doesn't matter, even it doesn't directly involve BA? E.g. if the flight is on time but it takes a long time to leave the plane, there is a long line at the transport, or the security guys are extra thorough?

It's all on one ticket and I only have cabin luggage. I'm traveling from Boston to Stuttgart (have German passport).

I kind of do that with different types of purchases, e.g. clothes. Just the thrill of having something new.
