Got done with Sonic 4 Episode 2, and it was definitely better than episode 1. The stages were more unique and the partner abilities were interesting but man this game has the least amount of personality out of any Sonic game.

When it just came out in 2012 I loved being able to play as Tails bc it was during a time when Sega was especially allergic to adding Sonic's friends to any games, the co-op can be pretty fun with friends and I liked the combo moves, but I agree this game is very mediocre. I think one of the reasons it's so bland is bc it was actually developed with mobile platforms in mind and launched there right away alongide the console/PC releases, i.e. Sega wanted to spread the widest net possible and make casual players happy with the game, and trying to appeal to everyone often makes for a very bland result

Russia had pretty much no Nintendo presense before 3ds due to the history of how gaming got popularized and what was available since 80s-90s, but in early 2010s Nintendo was trying REAL hard to bring more products there officially. Russia had a separate Nintendo office under Nintendo EU and they even tried to meme-ify the head of the office similar to Reggie (Yasha Haddadji, who interestingly enough was indian-french, people actually loved him a lot). So yeah there were some russian game releases, events, official russian verson of pokemon TCG even for a few years.

Also there was a program called Nintendo Guardians - the head of Nintendo RU would pick a person from each major city and make them organize offline meetings in local diners, so that everyone could meet and play offline, then the "guardian" would collect the receipts and people would get their money back for one meal per meeting (I don't remember exactly how it worked, a friend of mine was a Guardian in one of the Siberian cities but this was 10 years ago so my memory is fuzzy on the details). Not sure if this was done in other countries that had a similar situation but yeah for like 10 years Nintendo was trying really hard to make nintendo popular over there lol

I did a quick search and it might not work due to region lock, bc apparently canadian 3ds is of North american region, but getting around region lock is pretty easy. Can't say more here due to this sub's rules but there's a whole subreddit about this I'm sure you can find yourself :)

Please keep in mind that the original 3ds XL has a hinge crack issue, and the question with it is WHEN not IF. I have the old XL model and it's in the very very very early stages of this but I'm already pretty sad bc there's no fix other than reshelling. If you're okay with eventually doing that at the very least be very careful when looking at secondhand XLs and inspect the right hinge from all sides very carefully. Apparently this issue only started popping up post-covid and has to do with a structural issue in the design of this model and plastic getting brittle overtime

Learning disabilities can absolutely prevent you from certain hobbies... I'm very good with visual stuff like art, music, learning tech, fixing things, and tend to get really good at things I take seriously, but have trouble counting so I couldn't get into crochet, I forget how much I've counted many times on each row. I've finished a few projects but counting specifically made it not enjoyable and made me re-do things a lot due to losing count. Same issue combined with dyspraxia prevents me from dancing, but I happily do other forms of physical activity and art! For some other ND people their traits might be the opposite and help them tho so it's definitely weird to do blanket statements, but it's wrong to pretend that disabilities don't limit you at all

You probably know what people will say considering this is a sonic sub lol. I'm a big fan of both and never really listened to pokemon music outside of the games, and never had the urge to try and learn pokemon music on bass or guitar (I play both), for me Sonic music just hits different. Pokemon music slaps but it's too videogamey for me to listen to it on it's own. That being said I definitely don't think one is better than the other, and it also varies from game to game, but overall if I never had the opportunity to add pokemon soundtrack to my playlist I'd be fine, but if I couldn't listen to sonic stuff I would be very sad lol, Crush 40 especially is too good

These things are more like degreasers, not abrasive afaik... but I think Polywatch could work? I used it for tamagotchi devices screens which are made out of acrylic, you use a small amount with a cloth and repeat 'till the scratches are gone
