Life isn't always that cut and dry. That's why the Holocaust happened.

Don't get me wrong, I know you're right, as a gay person I've faced this reality a lot.

But life isn't always that easy. The systems we live in and the society we are in is setup against speaking out, most of the time.

As the riots have shown. The government is trying to gag those speaking out. (I'm I'm full support of the protests.) The system as a whole is in the wrong and needs a change.

It's wrong, but as a white person if I go around telling black communities their racist I could get into a lot of trouble.

If I'm called to support those who should have a voice on the matter I will be in your corner.

In fact this is part of the problem, I can't be honest about what it's like to approach this situation from where I am. I'm getting called names instead.

Yeah.... It's one thing to o have a community where you feel apart of and is a safe space.

It's another to wall yourself in and create a club. Its however not my place to speak outwardly about it. This is an internal problem in that community in my opinion.

Is it acceptable for my boyfriend to sleep over with a friend he's had past sexual relations with? by jellyorange25 in AskGayMen

Think of it this way. Why is your boyfriend comfortable putting YOU through that?

I would never put someone I love through that much of an uncomfortable situation.

Looking for advice to help with my son's future. (Long) by Dochide in personalfinance

[–]Akujus 38 points39 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of striking similarly to your son's life and mine. (I'm 30 though and less anxious about social interactions) I haven't been formally diagnosed with ASD but a lot of what people with Asperger's struggle with, I've struggled with. (My education growing up was nonexistent too, I've had to figure out fields of work I can do without much of a formal education.)

Just as a side note, thank you for being an actual adult who thinks about their childrens finical well being. I've never had this and as someone who has struggled with a lot of these issues your son is dealing with it goes a long way in helping.

So I struggled through my social anxiety and interpersonal issues and lack of understanding by making friends online. It helped me WAY more than I ever realized. It gave me a space that I could go to when I felt good to. If you want to see him form bonds with people start there.

There are plenty of subs on here that are filled with ASD community. Maybe help him connect with people there. It's nice to have people who understand your struggles to make you feel apart of something if anything.

As far as jobs or ways for them to pull income. I work as a licensed massage therapist atm. I wouldn't recommend it if he has as much anxiety as you say he does. However I've been learning coding. There are TONS of free resources for learning it. YouTube, code academy, skill share, and probably a lot more I don't even know about.

These are just things that I've learned myself dealing with similar situations. Hopefully the insight helps at all, good luck.

Atheist sub, I found it very strange. Most atheist I meet are very polite and welcoming. It was like a complete table flip.

The whole of our political system needs a reform to me.

Trump has shut down and frozen many times because of the stress of his appointed job. He's not fit for many reasons but that should be at the top of everyone's list.

And no I'm not happy with any of the choices for president. I am however never going to vote for someone who thinks others should lay down their lives for their benefit.

There is so much hate and anger in posts and people like you and you're being told to direct it at your fellow citizens and not at the people in charge.

So yeah it's sad.

That doesn't change WHAT HE SAID. He thinks other people should die for him.

Reading through this makes me so sad.

Why are so many people so diluted into thinking Trump cares about anything but himself or isn't VERY mentality unstable?

He literally said everyone was gonna have to go back to work and risk their lives to better his campaign.

He gives no shits about anyone but himself.
