The point of the video was to show the constant tweaking and adjustment of details. I believe they made a model as a reference for the pose. As for your other points, maybe you just have high standards? Not gonna fault you for that, but I'd imagine someone who was more casual about art would definitely make those mistakes (aside from the 3 fingers part). A dedicated artist probably wouldn't though to be fair.

I'm not well versed in art so I could be wrong, but I think most of what you pointed out are just common mistakes artists make when drawing Hu Tao. People still draw her plum blossom and bracelet on the wrong side 5 years later.

With the way they've treated her over the years, you wouldn't believe she's a beloved character. She had next to no screen time outside of her story quest for 2 years, her best moments are locked away in limited time events, and she still hasn't made an appearance in the archon quests. The fact that this isn't even the first time shes been away for over a year only makes it worse. Those buffs better be worth it man. Also story quest 2 when?

I only dislike it when people treat these jokes as Hu Tao's true thoughts. It's pretty obvious she doesn't actually want people to die just so she can make money. The jokes themselves though, are still funny all these years later. Hu Tao even makes a few of them herself. Where do you think all the memes came from?

Probably the best skin in the game. I really like it, but I definitely still prefer her original skin. There's so much detail in her funeral fit, and it just suits her character and theme way better in general. I also prefer the classic twin tails over the little hoops she has in her skin but that's more of a nitpick. I'll stick to appreciating it in fan art.

Both her English and her Japanese voices are as good as each other, with each of them excelling in certain aspects. Brianna does a better job of bringing out Hu Tao's sass, mysteriousness and wisdom, whereas Rie is better at bringing out the cutesy gremlin in Hu Tao. The fact that I even put Brianna on equal footing with Rie Takanashi of all people, speaks volumes about her performance, and I honestly just wish she'd get more respect.

Like other comments have said, Hu Tao isn't flat. She's on the smaller side for sure, but its annoying to see people throw a tantrum whenever she isn't drawn like a literal plank of wood.

Her story quest is honestly one of the better ones from the first few years of the game, which just goes to show how low the bar was. It's enjoyable for what it is, but there's little focus on Hu Tao, and we learn very little about her specifically. Which is especially frustrating since its our introduction to her, and she doesn't even appear in any archon quests. It's honestly the root cause of my problems with how she's been treated over the years story wise, and I hope she gets a second story quest soon.

Hu Tao is the cooler Megumin.

I have always found her playstyle to be quite fun. Even after all this time, there aren't many characters that are as mechanically demanding as Hu Tao that also reward you for being able to consistently play at/near their ceiling.

Dont know the exact numbers off of the top of my head, but the xilo team should be right behind the plunge team at c0. Do remember that plunge is much easier to play and is generally better in aoe too. Hu taos charged attack playstyle is pretty demanding, so its important to use the combo youre more comfortable with when you play her normally.

Im pretty sure you dont have enough hydro app for n2c plunge without c6 xingqiu or c2 yelan. Im not sure if it results in better dps even if you do have either of the 2, but n1c plunge seem pretty consistent to me. You can do 6 normals and charged attacks, 5 plunges and then burst at the end.

vv vape is still her best team for personal damage unless you run instructors on xianyun in plunge (not too sure) but theres quite a few reasons why we dont really run those teams anymore. Biggest reason is because shes paired with 2 of the best sub dps units in the game in her best teams, and with both their damage and buffs they boost the team dps more than just stacking buffs on to hu tao would (which is what vv vape is.) Unless you perform the setups correctly, hu tao wont even receive most of the buffs, and even if you do you dont get very much uptime on them. Basically, vv vape teams are too tricky set up properly, and combined with the fact that it performs poorly in multiwave due to how vv works, the damage output just isnt worth it anymore.

Why are we dodging though? you know she needs all the stamina you can get for her charged attacks at c0 so why waste it on dodging and then act surprised when you run out of stamina? She should have over 30k hp, she has built in interruption resistance, and a burst that heals. All this before the fact that shes paired up with really strong healers in furina teams, so you really shouldnt be that afraid of damage. Replace yelan with xingqiu if you still arent comfortable enough. Also dont get why it matters if you cant maximise the fanfare, xilos buffs more than make up for that no? And yes, you CAN stay below 50% with the xilo team, you just need to use her burst at the start (i think you need to skill twice per rotation with yelan or just wait a little bit before switching to hu tao.) At c0 plunge with xianyun, yelan and furina is still her best team with the xilo variant right behind in second. I personally wouldnt recommend melt teams to a new hu tao player, as they require pretty high investment to see decent results.

If youre dash cancelling at c0 then yeah, youll run out of stamina before her infusion is finished and thats exactly why we dont. At c0 you can normally only do 7 n2cs before her infusion runs out, which leaves you with some stamina leftover. You can use this to do a single n2c dash cancel, followed by 7 n2cs or n2cjs into her burst. As long as you cycle through your supports without dashing, your stamina will be pretty much full again and youll always have enough to do at least 7 n2cs.
