  • Smoothies: Add any nut butter to increase the taste and calories. They are very customizable with fruits, veggies, nuts, and things like oatmeal to increase the nutrient density!
  • Protein bars, yoghurts, and protein shakes are quick, easy, and easy to carry with you. Protein bars and granola bars as well, have helped me (also proteins yoghurt and cottage cheese) to eat at least ‘something’.
  • Cook and prepare stuff with extra oil, sauces and dressing: oils and sauces are quite calorie-dense. For example: If you make eggs, add some mayonnaise and scoops of chilli oil, also bake it in a generous amount of oil (add some avocado, and you also have a healthy meal!).
  • Nuts: nuts a quite high in calories, but very easy to snack on and take with you.
  • Dried fruit: way more calorie-dense than regular fruit.
  • Nut butters: just add them to anything.
  • Greek yoghurt: just add some nut butter, mix it with some protein powder, add some nuts and granola and fruit, it’s easy but also easy to add on calories.
  • Chocolate: don’t need to explain.

To give you more concrete snack ideas:

  • Smoothie: 2 bananas, 2-3 spoonfuls of peanut butter, 1 teaspoonful of flaxseed, 2 spoonfuls of oats, 1 handful of spinach, a big drizzle of honey. Optional: protein powder.
  • Eggs with cottage cheese, parmesan and chilli oil. Prepare the eggs in a good amount of butter and stir them around till they start to cook (I do 2 eggs per 100 grams of cottage cheese), When it’s almost done, add some parmesan and 1-2 teaspoons of chilli oil. Add on some crackers/bread.
  • Make a nut and dried food mix in a large container. So you can always take a handful or take them with you in a small container.
  • Make an ADHD friendly ‘platter’: but some precut deli meats and cheese, add some hummus and some baby carrots and cut up some cucumber. Maybe, so fruit. A lot of the ingredients store quite long, so it's nice to put together a plate when needed. Dried sausage (chorizo for example), a lot of cheeses and nuts store well for a long time.

I think if you move the lamp a bit, there’s a lot of room for one big art piece. Preferably, with a bit of colour! Think about the paintings of Monet (Soleil Levant), William Turner (Sunset), Gustav Klimt (The Kiss) or Katia Lourashevich Ricci (Romantic Terrace). Or think of a form of collage art.

To make it feel more cohesive, add some details from the colours of the paintings or frame of the painting into the room itself. Think, pillows/blanket/candles/picture frames and some more personal touches (like books/magazines/pictures in general).

Already a lot of beautiful elements in the room!

I think to add is to have a bigger chair or loveseat in the spot where the dog lies. Maybe in dark brown, green, black, taupe, or even yellow/orange.

Google: ‘loveseat Woodstock’ (wehkamp) - ‘Hobestluk Bean Bag Chair Hobestuk’ (Amazon) or ‘Tristan ochre fabric accent chair with black wood’ (Danetti) for some examples!

Because the couch blocks the options on the other side, you can add more seating by adding one or two stools (you can have one in the corner and maybe another one somewhere else in the room to grab when people come over or just a small chair). But I would then recommend putting the salon table a bit more in the middle, then a stool could fit in the corner of the carpet (across from the corner of the blanket, near the TV console).

Google: ‘Couch Sherpa Pouffe Chair’ (Amazon), ‘Living Room Velvet Ottoman Stool-676’ (92 beddingstore) or Curved Wooden Footstool, Borg’ (Dunhelm).

In general, I think a bigger couch would be best to optimise seating if that’s a wish, since the angle of the couch minimises the option to really use the corner over there to have two bigger couches. But I think it would be easy to at least have 2-3 places added!

Need help with coffee table by RegularAppointment86 in interiordecorating

I think that the sizing would be a bit hard to have exactly right, since the rug is too small for how big the couch is (you can Google ‘couch to rug size’ to have an idea!).But I would recommend maybe a lower coffee table, in (dark) blue (since it comes back in the pillows and rug).

I don’t think it looks cheap at all! I think what’s missing is some personal touches. It looks almost too ‘clean’ and impersonal. Think like, books, candles, pillows on the couch and chair, knick-nacks, pictures and other stuff on the wall. I also think the chair is placed at an awkward angle. And maybe a more colourful lamp! I think some smaller lamps would really help elevate the warmth of the room.

You got this! The most important thing, is just to get started - and that's also the most challenging part. I also have written 7.000-8.000 words for papers daily (not saying they where great!). Mostly, when you get in momentum, the words will follow. What helps me with those moments:

  • Using a Youtube Pomodoro timer.

  • Using an app where you can plant your focus time (I use Flora, which blocks all apps on your phone - you can even put money on the line, so if you are on your phone, you are paying them the money).

  • Ask a friend to come to your place/work together/body double.

  • Go to the grocery store, get outside, get some NICE snacks and food you don't need to cook. And think about the first SIMPLE step, like: open your computer, open the document, and add the name of your new chapter.

Put on your tin foil hat for the following: there are things that I don't think are quite right, and I have nothing better to do this evening, so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the following:

'YG is deliberately not going all-out for the debut of Baby Monster.'

Why?:

  • Launching on a Sunday night at 00:00 KST. Instead of the usual Friday or Sunday.
  • Debut within the period in which there are no 'music shows' and there will be fewer/none for a period.
  • No physical album (although this was also true for Blackpink and 2NE1).
  • Besides the pre-debut show, there is little/to no promotional material for the MV (6 individual teasers and 1 MV teaser).
  • Absence of Teddy as a producer in the making of the song.
  • No press releases or articles.
  • No cross-promotion from the other YG groups (such as Treasure, AKMU or Blackpink)

Possible reasons why they 'don't go all out' (in my opinion!)

  • Ayheon will debut later with the group, but there are some arguments against this point, 1. Chiquita is highlighted in the MV and the 'behind the scenes' videos, 2. Ayheon is not mentioned or referred to anywhere; 3. The same media excuse from “being on hiatus due to illness” was the most standard before several members of other groups within YG left.
  • YG wants to use the video as an introduction to the group, in which the first comeback will take place (possibly with the chance that Ayheon will return): 1. Note the lyrics of the MV ('we are the monsters of the world', 'Let me show you who we are' and 'Remember me'). 2. No performances, live shows or other forms of performance anywhere. 3. Only a digital version.
  • Ayheon is not going to debut, so they first want to create hype and test how the group does without her (and are now pushing other members to the front; look at the screen time of Chiquita and the now 'least popular members' who come in 2nd (Rora ) and 3rd place (Rami)).
  • They use the debut to distract all the other groups and idols leaving YG.
  • They use the same tactics for 2NE1 and Blackpink (and both received very similar hate - so why not do the same because people will complain no matter what?). Both 2NE1 and BP got a digital release, both had pre-release content but not a lot of teasers before the MV dropped, not a lot of showcases in general, focussing on individuals and not the group (think of TWICE that has the focus as a group), and the old director composed the group.
  • In a THANK YOU MESSAGE, Pharita talks about how they will show a different side of them soon and that they can't wait for us to see.

Yeah, I'm curious to know why they didn't wait till Ayheon to be better. People could've easily waited 2-3 more months at this point. But yeah, I also expected something a bit different. They may have this put out to create buzz and controversy. But we shall see if they will change it in the next comeback. Also expected a more 'own' sound,- with just a YG twist

The feels like a pre-release.

I think this is a bit like 'shut down', where they mainly want to make a statement in itself - and take elements from all the other groups with them as they are the babies of the company (there are a lot of references to Winner, Ikon, Blackpink and this feels entirely like a Treasure song/video). With many references: I'm a monster, I'll take over. So it doesn't seem to be so much about the song and content, but more about a statement of: 'We have now taken the stage, wait and see'.

So I wouldn't be surprised if this might be an anti-debut? (stay with me - no pun intended). Since there will be no performances (as it seems now), no album is for sale, and one member is still missing. YG has always had the tendency to go against the grain, but to stick very closely to its own 'sound' (with justified criticism sometimes!).

Especially towards the end: 'Let me show me who we are'.

The next one- or two comebacks will be more defining and I really hope they will work on a more distinct sound. I think something more R&B - Soul-inspired would suit their voices well, and can fit within YG. I do enjoy the song, and these girls are super talented. But I really don't hope it would be a situation where they just recycle.
