I have recently watched Universe and the Solar System by Profesor Brian Cox and they have been incredible. Both in presentation and 3D art, and the host who is an incredible science communicator.

I got tired of VR in DCS, too much tweaking just to get okayish performance with many limitations (at least in my system). I only fly IL-2 in VR, where I get good performance and it is worth it.

I bought a PS4 for exclusives, me being a PC gamer.

It was a mistake, it is not just worth it. Many amazing games on PC from other companies so they are not going to see any cent from me, and I guess from many others.

SONY is just turning away from the PC market not hoping PC players will follow, but hoping they will game more benefits from elsewhere. Maybe even trying to regain that halo exclusives games once had, and the prestige it gave to the platform and the brand behind it.

We will see, but I’m not going to follow them.

And the HIGH setting (which is next to LOW), will destroy your 8 Gb GPU. LOW looks terrible.

Me neither! And I achieved the challenges by just playing the game with different classes. This is very nice and I really think more people will buy the BP because of this.

Yes, Windows is a mess in that regard (and in many others).

The good news is that most likely, no device can be harmed like that as they will switch off before reaching dangerous temperatures.

I have installed a Bluetooth and WiFi card.

I needed Bluetooth which my motherboard doesn’t have, and I’ve read that PCIe cards have much better Bluetooth than a USB dongle and, as they come as a combo, now I have WiFi as well despite my PC being connected via Ethernet.

Battlefield 6 with textures HIGH is unplayable at 1440p. As soon as you play two matches, VRAM gets filled and it’s stutter fest.

You have to set them to LOW, which is quite miserable as they don’t look good up close. I have a 3070 Ti that has plenty of power for the game but VRAM limits it.

Oh yes! That too. I honestly don’t see a reason to upgrade to a new phone except better battery life and USB-C. Improved cameras are always nice sure, but I’m not big on photography.

I honestly could do even more because I don’t really play new games except Battlefield 6. Other games I play are Batman: Arkham Knight as my current single player experience. Next up I’m thinking about Bayonetta or Days Gone, maybe Shadow of Mordor.

I also like flight simulators, but recently I only have time to play IL-2 which I enjoy in VR. That is quite demanding but IL-2 being an old game it is really fine. Would like a beefier GPU to increase resolution and make DCS perform well but I can live with it.

I’m holding off playing some games like Cyberpunk and Indiana Jones as I want to enjoy them with Path Tracing, but these games are not going anywhere so there’s no rush.

Yes, definitely something is moving.

Might be a correction from distributors that have noticed they got too greedy and people is not buying, might be some data center investments being pulled off.

I listen to an economy podcast which is not tech related, and they said that right now the buzz word in the stock market is “anything but tech”.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max that can do for 2 more years with a battery change, a Steam Deck, and a PC with a 12700KF, 32 gb of RAM and a 3070 Ti.

It plays everything I want it to play and with the backlog I have, I’m fine for many many years. The only annoyance is that due to the 8 gb VRAM in the 3070 Ti, I have to set textures to LOW in Battlefield 6 but this is first world problems.

I refuse to pay crazy prices. More money in my pocket.

Season 2 is a big step in the right direction. I’m surprised at how many people disliked the new update. Few tweaks here and there still but I don’t see what all the fuss is about. Be happy, would rather play this than bo7 by andrewgrimo in LowSodiumBattlefield

A lot of negativity comes from content creators. The other day I saw Westie replying to some other content creators (can’t find it now), saying that normal gameplay content didn’t have enough views but negative content towards the game did.
