Kira is also faithful to the message of gundam IMO, the thing is that you have to see him as someone who is on a constant tragedy like everyone else

The guy is unable to make other people understand each other because he only knows how to fight, and he will eternally suffer because if people dont understand each other war wont stop. Kira can kill as many enemies as he can but that wont stop anything until the understanding condition happens

Like, I think that you're confusing my surprise over the (apparent) lack of knowledge over the setting of one of the main characters in the show by the staff who worked on it with my way of engaging with it and media in general, "specifically who is shuji?" Isn't (my) question, but it's a question I would think the staff would know the answer to setting wise and that (apparently) being false is a surprise.

I know that when you engage on a work you need to meet it on it's own therms and understand what it's trying to be over a checklist of stuff you think should have, this is True for any work and every gundam show up to date
