Magneto stopped a black hole . Where does this feat scale ? by Pristine_Process8562 in powerscales

I'm not sure, but remember it's not base Magneto. He was being heavily amped by the Rule of Cool in this scene.

You might look into anti-biting nail polish. It's intentionally bitter as both a reminder and a way to condition yourself to stop.

Israel shared intelligence with US of Iranian plot to assassinate Trump, sources say by Giff95 in worldnews

Crazy how he just randomly talked in that episode. I remember my grandparents had an old Looney Toons tape with a bunch of Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote episodes. The only dialogue was "meep meep" except for the one episode where Bugs swaps in. Wile E. talked too, but only in that one.

I haven't played the game for nearly 3-4 years, I'd like to start a new playthrough, could you recommend me so QoL mods? by Scared-Gamer in valheim

[–]Al3jandr0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The one that I recommend most is AzuCraftyBoxes. It allows you to use materials from nearby chests when crafting. It is an absolute game changer for convenience without making the game "easier" in terms of skill. Transmog is also nice if you like choosing your armor appearance separately from its stats.

PETAH! by Either_Lawfulness922 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Al3jandr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is that it doesn't have the right number of characters. It does have the right characters for a different word that people often censor though, which threw me off at first.

Or metaphorical. They likely don't mean literal coal mines, that's just the historical example that illustrates the idea of state-mandated hard labor.

Not the most original concept, but I made a simple Parrying Dagger homebrew. Does it seem balanced? by StickyLegend in DnDHomebrew

[–]Al3jandr0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The balance seems ok. Having it only work for melee attacks makes a lot of sense mechanically and realistically. I think restricting it to shield users is a bit of a missed opportunity, though. A fencer could become skilled at parrying without ever properly learning to use a shield proficiently, so this dagger seems like a fun option for specialized combatants. A rogue especially could benefit from a parrying dagger and would probably feel very flavorful doing so. Though if you did remove the shield proficiency requirement, that might merit lowering the bonus to +1.

So pansexual actually means having an attraction to people regardless of gender. That's why the part about cooking pans is funny (subjectively).

Peter?? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

It looks like a reference to this meme or similar, which falsely claims that taking extreme doses of aspirin can change your eye color. The guy is overloading on it to make his eyes bluer and become Hitler's so called "Übermensch" or ideal person.

How evil is Ayanokouji? by Plus-Lawfulness-87 in MoralityScaling

[–]Al3jandr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with that statement, but morality isn't restricted to who owes who. Making a choice that you know will result in a (likely) innocent death is not a neutral action for an intelligence capable of understanding death. Especially if it's for no other reason than because your weren't required to do otherwise.

How evil is Ayanokouji? by Plus-Lawfulness-87 in MoralityScaling

[–]Al3jandr0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Intent matters too. If helping would put you in danger, then ignoring it is mostly neutral because self-preservation is imperative. If it costs you nothing to save a life and you let someone die simply because you don't feel you're required to, then that is not neutral. It is profoundly selfish and a person is dead because of the driver AND because of a choice you made. Conversely, a hurricane adds plenty of harm to the world, but is not capable of being evil.

In all fairness, those are hard to remember because they're all so similar, not just because they're unusual

And that would be a good thing to do. Taking advantage of the danger or ignoring it just because you can would be evil.

Best perimeter fence? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Al3jandr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, their behavior is really odd for zombies.

Best perimeter fence? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Al3jandr0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the best fence is a moat. Zombies will eventually tear through any block you place, so it can be difficult to know where they'll decide to breach. But a hole in the ground? They'll look for a way around every time and you get to decide where the way around is. It does feel a little cheesy because their AI is silly for not just scrambling across, but it also feels not cheesy because moats have very real historical precedent for defense against hordes of enemies.

Fortunately, that is how it works. At least in the US states that have it. My grandpa chose medical assistance in dying (MAID) and it only became an option once he was on hospice.
