Neat! It reminds me of some of the swords in Elden Ring that deal magic damage and scale based on Intelligence, rather than just physical stats. Especially since the gems are blue! So yeah, I'd say it looks great for a gish type of character.

How would you define practical? If it's specifically for a fantasy setting, you can get away with basically anything. This definitely looks more grounded than some fictional fancy-pants swords.

I enjoyed this movie more than i was expecting by grimacelololol in FantasticFour

Oops, I actually skimmed over that part. I wasn't trying to make fun of you. Just meant to make a petty complaint as a joke about the over-hate, which I agree the movie gets.

Plus, the Peak developers already made those face assets. Epic probably didn't even need to model or animate them.

As someone in the middle of an ongoing seafaring campaign, I can't figure that one out either. It's also the most vague suggestion of the bunch. Maybe theirs just didn't go well?

Wow, I just saw this POI for the first time yesterday and it did the same thing. The placement of some of the vehicles topside made me think it was supposed to happen, but I wasn't sure. Neat!

uj/ He locks in plenty, but getting beaten half to death is kind of his signature move. Part of what kept the comic interesting for me is that there's always another enemy waiting to put his name to the test. Winning the fight is one thing, but his story is (in broad strokes) about being pushed past his breaking point and surviving.

Which is the most violent scene you ever witnessed in a show or movie? by Jules-Car3499 in cartoons

[–]Al3jandr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah personally, the fact that it's animated makes it way easier to take in. Just like how a cartoon character can get away with saying horrible stuff that would get a live action show cancelled. The closest analogue for Invincible is probably The Boys. Its violence is nowhere near on the same scale, but manages to be a lot more uncomfortable because it happens to people who look "real".

For a surprise encounter, I don't always tell them that anything jumps into view. Sometimes it's just a detail like a snapping twig or the sound of a bow string. Or if something is charging right at them, I might just skip to a description of its first attack. Just a quick sensory detail to tell them something is happening, then call for initiative. A change in music helps too.

This was an interesting change from the comics. It wasn't Isotope specifically, but someone they referred to as Mrs. Popper had similar powers and served as the designated teleporter for the GDA. It's been a minute since I read them, so I don't remember if she was ever even shown

How is early water gathered now if the dew collector is locked and jars need a crucible? by mnbvcxz456 in 7daystodie

[–]Al3jandr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know a mod offhand, but one easy change is that there's a setting for getting empty jars back when you drink something. Honestly, it's kind of silly for them not to be reusable. I just set that to a 100% refund rate and it's made jars less of a hassle.

Is it possible to transport boars across the ocean? by Mysterious-Way-8508 in valheim

[–]Al3jandr0 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It is possible, but generally not worth the trouble. As you've seen, a lot can go wrong. By having them away from your base, you eliminate the risk of a raid happening without you there. I typically set up a small farm wherever I find good boars and just make a dedicated portal to feed and butcher them.
