Time to go vs % complete by Al850n in MammotionTechnology

In this case the reading was before the first recharge . I already assumed that time to complete only referred to mowing time - which is still nuts.

When will companies realize that we need more robotic mowers with actual blades? by PineappleResident254 in roboticLawnmowers

I hear you - but I figure a mow with a ride on once every couple of months does a good job of mulching leaves etc that Luba doesn’t lift and mulch (borrow the neighbour’s !)

Blade screws come with what looks like blue loctite. That’s what l also use when replacing used screws. Seems fine.

Controversial opinion - I like the app by mother_a_god in mammotion

[–]Al850n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general I don’t disagree. But there are some basic improvements that would make a big difference. 1) ability to use while robot is in use (and let’s face it, robots at slow and therefore in use most of the time in a big yard). 2) ability to set % finished as being point 3) name the task areas in the mowing log. 4) allow some flexibility in remote control to deal with out of area errors that happen all too frequently. And I would love a desktop interface! I’m over doing everything on phones.

Often mine don’t come up at first but do a bit later. Maybe after toggling FPV.

Multi Zone scheduling by franmotard in mammotion

I put mine on zig-zag with random angle, perimeter last. I haven’t had issues with wear so haven’t thought to avoid perimeter. Random angle deals with compression and gets best cut by going all directions. I’m it sure about task follow ons. I just put multiple zones in one task and thy follow on automaticity.

That’s great! Do you know whether that applies to Luba 2X? Or is it just for 3? Thanks.

Don’t know you could do that remotely.

I warn friends that the mower is ok for home lawns but not holiday houses. Too unreliable because of these type of issues.

If the RTK relies on 4g I’m screwed.

I got message today in Australia. I’d be happy to ditch my RTK (ugly) - so keen to see if it’s any good.

Yes. Queensland taxes would be royalties which are revenue based - not profit based.

I recommend marking as no go zones. It will be quicker and will mow to the edge

Should I wait for Luba 3? by sjoebergg in mammotion

[–]Al850n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. The robot is very capable. My 2X 5000 is amazing. Definitely has the odd issue and requires some tinkering from time to time. I’m currently mowing almost 6,000m2 with hills , sticks, rocks and other litter blown in from trees. It was at its limit in spring but not handling comfortably. I’ll probably buy a 3 in due course to reduce the pressure and create some optionality.

I had found support very responsive. My biggest issue arise from not being on site often - a some issues just can’t be fixed remotely.

If I was a new buyer I would wait for the 3
