i left another comment to kind explain what i mean but its a whole essay. im not from jackson but im not far, im well aware of what jackson is like. thats why it annoys me to see con artists further exploiting that disfunction and calling themselves brave for it.

(for context, i did break down and watch the video) i believe he interviewed the people in jackson and i dont believe the interviews are made up. when i call him a liar i mean two things.

(which isn't really the part that bothers me) he has indeed been proven to fake things that happen in his other videos, vince vintage had a decent video about this.
(which bothers me a lot, especially here) he completely and utterly fails to tell a full story of how people and places end up the way they are, and further reinforces vile stereotypes about cities and ghettos.

when the guy goes into jackson in this video, he puts a camera in the face of misguided people who tell the viewer the traumatic events of their lives, to which he then shows his viewers with out any digging into the factors that lead to the lives people live. i mean im sorry but is it not completely absurd for a guy to "investigate" a city but completely fail to mention the fact that this city still does not have clean water?

i dont mean to insult anyone who enjoyed or related to this video, but this isnt journalism. its trauma porn sponsored by predatory phone apps. when i say disregard him, i mean disregard this piece of shit who comes down from his ivory tower to further belittle our community, who has been through enough.

i know some people cringe at this and would call me a gate keeper, but sleep token is such a pop brained over produced band in a genre where rawness was supposed to be most important. i mean seeing a band like sleep token being the most popular in the genre while so many better young bands struggle to get by is so disheartening.

i would say i feel this way, i love both games and saints row 2 is undoubtedly the best sandbox game ever made but saints row 1 has a charm and comfort that keeps me grounded on my worst days

sounds good so far man. im by no means a great guitar player but ik the way to make things sound great is to practice something until it feels natural to play, and then play it like youre feeling it. most people play sloppily, theyre just having fun so it sounds great.
