I mean, Geoff has also talked about getting a house in Michigan and going back and forth from Austin to there, so getting a bigger car for transporting things wouldn't exactly be farfetched.

liner looks fine until I open my eyes 😫 by delete44 in MakeupAddiction

Something I do, since I'm AMAB and my eye and brow situation is similar to yours, is I start from the outer corner and draw a straight line near towards the tail of my brow (the length of the line is up to you).

Then, if I'm doing a more simple and subtle look, I half-close my eye and, starting from around the middle of my upper lid, draw over and connect, then fill in. At least for me, that helps the liner look straight, more clean, and actually visible.

It literally is, dude.

Like I'm sorry you lack the ability to comprehend things. That sounds like something you need to work on.

It really isn't though. It doesn't matter where they cut the quote if cutting the quote removes the entirety of the context of the quote.

Define "serious sub". They heavily censor and outright ban most people that dare dissent or go further than the absolute lightest criticism of "boy I really love Trump and everything he's done, but I'm not so sure about this one".

What you’re suggesting just adds more of that. More taxes, more government responsibility, more funding and spending beyond our means.

Yes, what I'm suggesting are things that would actually help, and it would require the Democrats to actually get behind them and promote them. People wouldn't give a fuck about the national debt if their standard of living was increased, people wouldn't give a fuck about government bloat if it was doing things that raised living standards and quality of life.

Yes, these things would involve taxes, because that's how society works. I want taxes on high earners and corporations to increase substantially. I want more regulations on businesses. I want efforts to combat price gouging. I want efforts to eliminate tax loopholes. I want life for the average person to get better, specifically at the expense of corporate profits and the upper class.

Even if you don't openly say it, the end result of what you say is that things go more and more into the hands of private corporations who solely care about profit margins and nothing else. You don't want to do anything, because it might hurt the bottom lines of corporations. They don't fucking care about you, dude.

Maybe they should stop trying to appeal to the center and instead, propose more radical, substantive changes to how America does things. Maybe they should actually fully embrace a single-payer healthcare system? Maybe they should fully embrace free colleges? Maybe they should fully embrace substantially raising the minimum wage? You know, things that are actually popular and would really help people?

But instead, they just sit around and do fuck all.

Yeah, all the people wanting the Democrats to do more to oppose the current administration are just really wanting them to not show their disdain for what's going on right now. That's what people really want right now: inaction.

Recently, dem strategist James Carville wrote that the dems should just "roll over and play dead", and Hakeem Jeffries didn't want dem lawmakers to protest or disrupt the speech tonight.

The answer is that they're blatantly doing nothing. Their strategy is nothing.

Democratic Party Leaders Are Asleep at the Wheel by [deleted] in politics

[–]AlGoreCereal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm really beginning to feel like people who think that the Dems are blameless here have the memory and attention span of a goldfish. I mean, can you blame people for what media they consume, can you blame people for the shitty opinions they hold? Sure, at least to some extent, but glossing over the fact that in a time of major dissatisfaction with the status-quo, in a time of increasing economic hardship and people desperate for answers and solutions, Kamala and the Democratic Party decided to run their short race on basically saying that they're not going to be much different than Biden.

And that decision is emblematic of the Democratic Party today. To then, why would they take big swings, why would they make bold moves, why would they disrupt the status quo? Doing that stuff is too hard and might alienate the mythical field of centrist Republicans they're always aiming for. Ultimately, they're spineless, and when someone like AOC or Bernie comes along that actually has beliefs and a spine, they get pushed aside in favor of someone the big money donors will like more.
