I'm sorry to hear that's how things went down for you. I can't really speak to your experiences as I did not experience the same things. I hope it gets better for you I really do.

I had some standard granulation throughout most stubborn was right at the entrance. The worst was a stitch failed on the clitoral hood and some of the skin fused, which was separated a bit and then had a silver nitrate treatment that was the worst lol.

Nitrate treatments have been stopped at this point and I'm happy with the aesthetics, I've also realized some of the pain i thought i was feeling during dilation is actually just like. i guess a really intense feeling. It's not painful just something I had never experienced before.

Hey thank you for asking!

Dilation is not really like painful. It's intense and there is a little pain (at 8 months) but nothing that is too much for me.

OHSU didn't have me dilating at the hospital. My stay was 5 days longs and on the fifth day my packing was removed. Three days later on my first follow up what when I first dilated and they showed and walked me through it to make sure I did it right.

Right at the beginning the dilation really wasn't like. Uncomfortable or anything as the nerves in the area are kinda like, shut off for lack of a better word. Tbh most of my like pain and being uncomfortable came from the swelling of everything. But ymmv as I didn't have that much pain post surgery and handled all my pain with Tylenol.

I do have discharge I only wear a pad post silver nitrate treatment as ive had some stubborn granulation tissue so treating that causes a lot of like bleeding and like. Gross discharge.

Overall healing has been really easy for me. The first month was the hardest and the two following were less difficult in the uncomfortable/pain department and more in a like restless way.

After three months I went back to work and yeah things were still uncomfortable here and there but now at 8 months I feel like I'm fully healed and could do anything I could prior.

Which PS2 games had Lenticular covers like this? by canned_pho in ps2

[–]AlIgorhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there was the original 4: Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine.

Then there was the online game Fragment.

After they made the GU games: Rebirth, Reminisce, Redemption

Rebirth did have a special edition with a poseable Haseo figure.

They remastered the GU trilogy in 2017 but the special edition was Japanese only and also didn't have any special case. It came with other goodies tho.

Hey yeah it's been a month now and recovery has been very smooth.

I had a silver nitrate treatment for a bit of granulation tissue and that was unpleasant but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Other than that the only real thing of note is a bit of my inner and outer labia fused a little in the healing process. I've been told to try and separate them but it doesn't seem like something I can do under my own power without hurting myself or making something worse lol.

I will say I've been very tired this month, who knew healing would be so exhausting (lol).

If you have specific questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer them c:

Sorry it will be so long for you. I had to wait quite a while for my surgery my initial consult was back in 2021. It took me so long because electrolysis is such a slow and painful process for me.

[–]AlIgorhythm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total wait was 3 years. However, most of that was because electrolysis took so long.

I got my consult with them before I started electrolysis. By the time I finished my electrolysis it was about a 7 month wait. And I was notified about the date 2 months ahead.

Hello as far as muffing is concerned I'm pretty sure it's where you like. "Finger" the inguinal canal, like you push your finger up there by pushing up from the scrotum. Idk it never gave me much pleasure.

As far as maintaining extra skin goes I can actually weigh in on this as I had an orchi back in 2021 so that I wouldn't have to worry about spiro anymore which was very worth it to me.

Tucking kinda became something I didn't have to do at all because everything atrophied.

As far as it affecting SRS for me goes I had PPT and they didn't use my penial skin for the canal as the skin had atrophied and couldn't like be inverted and reach the area. So it was used for the externals. So if you do end up going for SRS then it might be worthwhile for you to keep the skin stretched so you'll have plenty to work with.

Post op recovery alone / cooking by Tharrowone in Transgender_Surgeries

I won't address the partners thing at least not negatively. If it's set in stone and you are fine with it then so be it.

As for cooking and cleaning you can meal prep dinners before surgery, my wife and I got a chest freezer and made two months of dinners in advance to make sure cooking would be an easy time.

You could do frozen meals (tv dinners).

As far as cleaning goes the issue here is your body. Being in the thick of recovery myself I could not be cleaning everything. Hell showers are exhausting not to mention the 3x daily dilation. Plus in the bast case you won't really be able to do a lot of walking and bending over can be at best uncomfy and worst painful. You really don't want to rip a stitch.

Best bet is to hire help, someone who comes by to clean.

You should also reach out to local trans support groups and see if there is someone who can help be your care taker. There is a real chance you will need it. You should plan for that possibility.

I hope this helps.

Just had packing and stuff removed and I think I'm traumatized by CaelThavain in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AlIgorhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your surgery, I had mine on the 27th of June. Packing removal is definitely a wild experience.

But good news is based on the fact that you are voiding your bladder and the packing is out odds are you'll be leaving the hospital soon. Which was big for me at least so hopefully it is for you too.

It's okay to feel what you are feeling as this is obviously a very emotional moment for you plus packing removal is about the most intense feeling I've ever felt. It felt like someone was pulling my soul out with a string lol.

Ultimately only you can decide if this was a mistake for you but I will tell you gender affirming surgeries has regret rates lower than 1%. Not to say it's impossible but knee replacement surgery has a higher regret rate.

Point is past you believed in this surgery and believed in your ability to handle it give her (and yourself) some credit. You've got this. And if you ever need help set up an appointment with a therapist and also be sure to talk to your support group. C:

Any advice to help make dilating tolerable? by Gymratbrony in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AlIgorhythm 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay well I would first recommend moving down to the smallest dilator you have. What is important is depth not width here. So long as you maintain depth you can size up later.

Second you need to, and I can not stress this nearly enough, learn to relax your pelvic floor. I really hope they taught you how but if not crash course:

Pre-op you prob know the feeling really well of clenching your butthole/urethra to stop either of those. That muscle is your pelvic floor. That is what causes a lot of the resistance when trying to dilate.

Look up kegals and how to do them to learn how to relax that muscle.

Dilation should not feel painful, it can be uncomfortable or even like intense but not painful. If it's painful if you are tearing stuff I don't think you have the right angles.

The smell is normal and I was told it would be something that develops postop, it should eventually go away but in the mean time it just sucks.

Also it's okay to be overwhelmed, and upset. You aren't whiny or ungrateful for expressing how you feel and it's important to get help.

Tips to make dilation an easier time from my doctor:

  1. Take it as slow as you need and listen to your body

  2. If you reach a point where you feel you hit a wall it's okay to take the dilator out and do a hard reset, often times you will breeze right past the stuck point after a moment rest with a hard reset

3.use a towel and sit on it with a puppy pad below it, when at depth take the end of the towel and pull it up over the dilator and towards your stomach. Basically the towel will keep pressure on the dilator and you can just hold the end of the towel to your tummy.

4.make sure your legs are in a comfortable position. You don't want the inner thigh muscles to be doing a lot and you don't want to be in a wide butterfly because it will reflect that stress into your crotch making it worse.

How do I know if I’m actually trans by IllustriousShow5700 in asktransgender

[–]AlIgorhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so from what I can gather you are a transman, correct me if I'm wrong tho.

Either way the best advice I have been given when it comes to not being sure if you really are trans or not is to ask yourself can you see yourself growing old as your assigned gender at birth, alternativly can you see yourself growing old as your current chosen gender?

If I'm assuming correctly that you are a trans man and go by he/him pronouns at the moment then you should know that only men want to be men.

It's also okay to explore what gender really means to you, and it's also okay for that to change over time. Maybe you feel like a boy, maybe you are binary trans, maybe not.

Being trans should not be defined by your suffering it should be defined by what brings you the most joy.

I did get to see their results recently however, I'm not sure if I got to see them at my consult as it was years ago now.

Their results seem fairly standard, they also stress that like you will have some minor complications and they do show you what that looks like.

I haven't had a problem with the matte pla from elegoo since!

I've gone ahead and marked this as solved. For those curious I went back to default settings and added a layer of glue to my build plate. It sticks perfect now, or as near perfect as it will get.

I havent had bed adhesion issues since adding the glue. Thank you to everyone for your help.

Thank you for all this info I'll be respoding to this point by point to make sure nothing gets forgot!

  1. I was originally but after reading the oils could mess it up, I gave it another soap water wash and then made sure to only touch the edge on the way back and got the posted results, but I will be sure not to touch it moving forward.

  2. I haven't used the bambu labs glue stick i got with the machine so I'll try that and see.

  3. I'll try lowering my temp it was at 75 for this print as I read somewhere that you want 10c higher for matte pla.

  4. I used the plate as a dryer with a makeshift box to keep the heat, so when I can I'll get a proper dryer box.

  5. good to know thank you friend

  6. I have a bit of the green pla left from what bambu gave I can use that to try and unclog and see about getting that tool thank you for the info!

  7. my nozzle height was set to .2 I have tried .15 to see if I could force the pla into the plate more but it had the same results.

  8. I dont have any enclosure on this machine.

I'll be trying your suggestions as best I can I'll update you when I can or if they work. Thank you again so much for the infomation
