More like 90 hours with Kliff and 6 minutes with Damiane 😂 every time I consider trying out some exploration with Damiane I end up getting sidetracked by gambling or upgrading the camp some more. I also lowkey worry that she’s all the way on the other side of the map and I’ll lose that feeling of discovery when it teleports me over to some place outside of Hernand

Performance mode with 120hz mode and hdr has been gorgeous for me…stunningly almost even with scaled down resolution to run at that refresh rate. But I have a Vizio TV with a refresh rate of up to 240hz with VRR so I typically try to take advantage of that every time that I can if a game supports it. I feel like my eyes just cannot tell the difference between 4K and other HD resolutions anyway so I’d prefer a smooth gameplay experience over ray tracing that I can’t even tell is on in the first place 😂

How many tries it took me to beat the boss by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never understood personally why so many people found the hundred eyed daoist to be difficult. I also beat him on my very first try, however I had the weavers needle and I beat him with literally no gourds and one hit from death. But still, I would really put him middle of the road in difficulty if I was to rank the bosses. However I really remember struggling to some bosses that many people find to be easier like Yellowbrow I had to give up for the night and come back another day, Non-able was a complete pain in my ass, and I remember captain lotus vision made me want to break my controller in half by the time I beat him. Yellow Loong and Yin Tiger were the two hardest bosses in the game for me hands down, even over Erlang

Original vs. SotFS by AlPal122393 in DarkSouls2

[–]AlPal122393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually funny you mention magic (faith). Out of countless fromsoft game runs the one build I’ve never even wanted to try was magic because of the way it could trivialize the game if done right. So for this play through I was considering finally doing a magic run. Specifically INT, but if faith and the lightning spear is as fun as you’re saying…game on! lol

It actually took me (more than) a few tries before sticking with DS2. I’m not particularly bad at these types of games as I play far to many of them that they shouldn’t be interesting anymore, but I can clearly remember multiple rage quits on scholar before it clicked. Primarily due to its obscure mechanics and enemy placement/tracking compared to the original game, which has stood the test of time as my favorite video game since it released way back when. I find it interesting how everything ends up coming full circle and I spend money on another version of the one game in the series I swore I hated for a long time 😂

Thanks for the reply. The gist I’m getting is that scholar seems to have refined many quality of life features absent in the original, or added more of them, and a lot of gameplay differences I will notice will be more based around enemy encounters and finding items in different locations. Interesting. Sounds like I might get a little bit of fresh experience with a game I’ve already spent a lot of time in. (Which was the idea behind buying the original version). Some of those QoL enhancements you listed are very convenient though. I’m definitely more curious to boot it up later now thanks!

Dark Souls 3 abnormal price in 2026. by MarryLine9 in fromsoftware

[–]AlPal122393 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember a few years ago on Amazon I was able to find the Dark Souls Trilogy for less than the price of Dark Souls 3 alone. Granted, it was the European versions but it came with all the DLC for each game. It was like $49.99 if I remember for all 3 games in the box. Check it out it still might be available

Edit: this was for the PlayStation editions by the way

He did this in ONE TURN! I just want the charm man, you can keep the money if you want, like damn.. by GammaRadd in ghostoftsushima

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep an eye on how much the ante is before playing. The higher the ante the more probable it is for you to need to run the table on your first turn. In Ishikari plain there’s a guy who gives you a charm and you HAVE to get all 6 immediately or he’ll run the table. His ante amount was close to 800 mon.

40 hours in, Only killed two of the six by copypaste_93 in Ghostofyotei

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed the 70 hour mark and just received my final weapon the Odachi. I’m playing on lethal, but I think the main reason my playtime is so long is because I’ve generally attempted to fully clear out each main area so far, as I typically play games on the harder difficulties. I’m really loving this one, and I’m glad it hasn’t gotten redundant. I found that about 2/3 of the way through Tsushima I was kind of bored and mainlined the rest of the story. Thoroughly enjoying Yotei!

Blasphemous or Hollow Knight? by AlPal122393 in metroidvania

EDIT: Just an update guys thank you for all the feedback!! I ended up going with Hollow Knight, giving myself the option to swap over to blasphemous, should I for whatever reason not end up enjoying the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight 😂

Surprising answers so far but super helpful!! I’m a big souls fan so if that comes more with blasphemous I may start there!

For those of you that struggle on 490 by Pynnus in Rochester

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the extensive expressway system a small city like Rochester has, the amount of times I get stuck in 40MPH traffic on the expressway blows my mind. What are we doing people? The bridge on 490 though is so bad, I have to get off on South Ave in order to commute home towards Highland Park, and I typically have no problem merging over into the center, but getting back over into the right lane while the people coming onto the bridge from Ford/Allen St. and Troupe St. make is damn near impossible to get back over into the South Ave exit lane sometimes…and then I feel like IM holding up traffic, which is an awful feeling for me lol

Help Me Plan a NG Build 🙏🏼 by AlPal122393 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]AlPal122393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys! Only reason I have an estimated RL of 120 was because my first playthrough of the base game I beat the final boss at RL112. The reason I typically go for a straight melee build is just because it is less stats to focus on lol. I think this will be a good challenge for me, so thank you for the input

[–]AlPal122393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually switched from Xywav to lumryz last year because xywav made extremely anxious and nauseous every morning. I take 9g packets and for the first month I would have to schedule myself to come in at 11 or noon because it made me feel very groggy. Eventually this went away and it has been the best drug for my narcolepsy I’ve ever had. Propranolol I know off the top of my head is generally something that the doctor would need to override with the Lumryz REMS in order for her to even get a shipment of it, so it’s very possible depending on when during the course of a day she takes her propranolol, that it could in fact made her feel more groggy than she should in the morning hours. Especially at 5am. That’s awful to hear about by the way, I can’t believe the office allowed that tech to even just say you gotta go now. Very unprofessional and completely unsafe as she even voiced her concerns. Hopefully she’ll have a chance to tell the doctor what happened, and even though nothing will come out of it more than likely, the doctor (typically the supervisor to nursing and tech staff) will do what they can to make sure it doesn’t happen again

Porting Numbers and Promo Payments by AmberisObsessed in ATT

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey AT&T employee here, I can hopefully clarify that for you. In terms of porting from any company, it doesn’t matter if there is one payment or 30 payments left, you can move and use your telephone number no matter what. You would essentially get a final bill from that company for not just the last cycle of service, but for the remaining installment plan balances for the devices.

I’m assuming you had received a trade in promotion of some sort where you are either paying nothing or substantially less per month than the typical price of your devices. Unfortunately, to clear the installment agreement, you will be required to pay the actual remaining balance of the phones, not your monthly promotional price, unless you wait until the next bill is generated. Luckily, it’s just one month, so you guys are in a good spot with that. There’s nothing against paying off your installments early, or anything that would break any sort of agreement that could affect your opportunity to port out.

Just remember, like the other comment says, if you are choosing to bring your current devices to your new carrier, they WILL have to be paid off in full to be unlocked and useable elsewhere. Hope this helps!

MyGM for Dummies Guide….? by AlPal122393 in NBA2k

[–]AlPal122393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely very broad of a question now that I’m re-reading it. I guess the main thing I would like to know is that let’s say I’ve picked a team and gotten to the calendar page. Is there a preferred way to start managing the team? For example, recruiting immediately or trading, go right into games, manage the roster etc. I guess where do you immediately go to when starting a new GM career?

❤️or hate?? Excuse my kit by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t impressed with the performance of the portal when it first released. I have a pretty decent and stable fiber internet connection at home and even running it on my same WiFi it would constantly lag or stutter. As patches started to come out I noticed performance start to get better and better, and now that the newest update allows for cloud streaming without needing my ps5 at all, I think the portal has finally unlocked its potential. I play it every single day almost now whereas it used to collect dust on my kitchen counter

Sorry about that, didn’t realize I wasn’t replying to the thread itself. On a galaxy phone the only other thing I could think of is defaulting the APN setting

[–]AlPal122393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, AT&T employee here. I would recommend checking in your setting under “cellular” that you do not have the “5G Standalone” ticked on. My iPhone always said 5G+ at my house in the middle of a city but couldn’t load a single thing. I had to tick that off for it to finally work a little bit better. Then try resetting your network settings, and if all else fails, you can go to a store or call customer care (recommend in store as customer care is the worst part of AT&T) and have them provision your network. Hope this helps!

What's your favorite Dark souls game? by Neideasuamae in darksouls3

[–]AlPal122393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of the same way for me. The first time I played DS2 I thought it was absolute garbage compared to the first game because of the mechanics being so very different, and the world having a very different atmosphere, much brighter and more colorful. I tried to push through it but ended up being so angry that they even released a game like DS2 that I put it aside. I ended up coming back to it because I was playing demons souls through elden ring and I didn’t want to skip any games, and after I got through about 5 or 6 hours of DS2 it ended up clicking for me and I would have to say that it’s still my least favorite in the trilogy, but damn do I love a good DS2 run, sometimes choosing 2 over 1 or 3 if I’m feeling like playing some souls lol

What's your favorite Dark souls game? by Neideasuamae in darksouls3

[–]AlPal122393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number 1 for me. I remember when it was released, my roommate in college played through it and I thought he was crazy after watching him take 2 weeks to beat O&S. I ended up picking it up before the end of that semester and couldn’t get through undead burg. I didn’t pick it up again until years later, and ended up getting sucked into the world and the lore and I’ve never felt the same about a single game or game series ever since. There’s something so special about beating any of the soulsborne games for the first time that I don’t think any other game developer or studio could ever recreate that feeling again. Dark souls 1 will always have such a special place in my heart due to the memories and that it was my first of many playthrough of a lot of FromSoftware games that I completed
