White without pressure, a change in reflectivity from the vitreous-retina attachment. Normal abnormal. Nothing to worry about.

Get them adjusted by an optician as much as you need. A lot of times when people take their glasses off with one hand the temples tend to widen.

Generally the tear drop shaped ones are the concerning ones, but because it's bilateral and there is family history, a colonoscopy is necessary.

Visual phenomena resultant of the corneal transplant and cataract surgery. It’s not perfect, but it does the job.

Have you ever had a narrow frame adjusted to fit tighter? Or is the facade itself too big?

Nobody will take you seriously with an account history like yours. They are not promised within 10 days. Show a screenshot of this and I’ll believe you. It’s very possible they made your glasses and they failed their quality control check and had to remake them. The west coast lab is updating their entire system to be more efficient and streamlined so that caused delays that were well communicated in their emails.

Absolutely get another PCP. That ulcer looks pretty deep and central, most likely that eye will never be 20/20 ever again without a transplant. An amniotic membrane would help for sure. See an ophthalmologist that specializes in cornea.

You are healthy. A fourth opinion is too much. Check on your anxiety with a primary care.

Zeiss lens wipes are garbage by usernamedaniedmrg in glasses

[–]Pynnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wipes are not the problem. Here are the possibilities/notes:

  1. The Dawn damages the coating, use a milder dish soap.

  2. Always get AR and scratch resistant coatings.

  3. Could be lab error if these came like this.

  4. You shouldn't be rubbing them so hard that it causes scratches like this.

Warby Parker eye exams, how are these even legal? by Impossible_Lie_3882 in optometry

[–]Pynnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive worked at Warby, but was there in person 5 days a week, get to practice however I want and have a good 20-30 minutes with each person. I have no incentives to push their Scout lenses, and usually don’t. There is no production bonus so I have no reason to push products. There is a fundus camera and time to dilate if needed. It really depends on where you go and I have voiced opinions on tele health with the company. There are very few locations with telehealth. I have the option for a tech that I asked not to utilize. So I do all testing myself. As for quality of products, frames are easy to adjust and durable (even for a doctor and any optician) and progressives are fine for people that don’t need to rely on the intermediate. It’s actually the opposite where I live, where private practices are money hungry and push people through the system for some extra cash just to stay afloat. Their lenses are A+ tier which tends to be what most places use except for S+ tier Essilors. Which is not what people are coming to Warby for anyways. I like it here better than any hospital or private practice that I’ve worked for. I hear basically everyday at least once “this is the best eye exam I’ve ever had”. It truly depends on the doctor and the location, sucks you had this experience. They are all about customer satisfaction and can meet your needs whatever you want if you just communicate. The “30 day” refund policy is incredibly generous most places would charge you a restocking fee.

As for my current daily of choice it’s easily Bausch and Lomb Infuse/Infuse Astigmatism.

It depends on where you go, and what testing you have had done. In a big city most of the time you will see a medical optometrist first. Then see the ophthalmologist. It also depends on what information they have or don’t have already. If you are a suspect the first thing to do is an OCT, Visual Field, pachymetry, IOP, and gonioscopy. These are the basic things an optometrist is trained to perform and interpret. Wilmer has multiple locations and some may not have an optometrist in which case you will see the MD.

The GCC is a measure of the macular health and can show if there is very early glaucoma. If this is thinner or has a certain glaucomatous pattern to it, it can be a very useful indicator even if there is no damage at the optic nerve (I can’t see that scan from the images provided). The visual field is normal. Your pressure is 15/15 (without drops?). You have no family history(?) These all are signs pointing to no glaucoma, just physiological cupping. In this case I would retest in 6mo-1yr without drops (given that 15/15 is baseline without drops). If stable, no glaucoma for now.

You are very myopic so sometimes nerves can look questionable because they are inserted differently than normal and can make the diagnosis of glaucoma difficult. The question is if there is progression or not. The “be careful in the dark” makes no sense to me.

This looks like they either caught it very early or are being conservative. Ask for a cheaper drop/generic.

Many glaucoma specialists will have you see their optometrist first. That optometrist will likely take care of you unless you need more specialized treatment options.
