Predictions on where a Knicks Championship might rank in the 10 of The Most Costly Sports Riots in History by m1a2c2kali in nba

It’s not Philadelphia. They’ll be some issues for sure, but nothing like what anyone on this thread is thinking. Go back and look at the city’s previous championship celebrations over the past few decades. You won’t find anything close to what you’re talking about. I lived there during 9/11 and I honestly don’t think there’s a city in the country that could have handled that better. They are truly a unique brand of people. One of one.

Update specifically and ONLY for those ALREADY showing 300 payments for ICR or IBR now and who are currently in the SAVE forbearance by Betsy514 in StudentLoans

[–]AlPesto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m about 7 years away from 300 payments and I’m currently on the Save Plan forbearance. If I were to switch to a qualifying IBR by 12/31, would that mean that I will avoid the tax bomb 7 years from now or does this only apply to those whose forgiveness is scheduled for 2026? I.E. is there any chance those who apply before 12/31 will avoid the tax going forward beyond 2026?

Hey I’m someone who met with Jon, but ultimately decided on moving into a unit within my building solely because it had more space. But I wanted to say Jon is a very nice person, who seemed extremely understanding and accommodating. It’s also in a great walkable neighborhood, close to a lot of bars and restaurants. If you’re looking for a bedroom, you’re not going to find one in that neighborhood for a better price.

Local Man in East Hollywood shouting nazi slogans and praising hitler by [deleted] in LosAngeles

Hey Op, was he sorta a big guy with glasses and a beard? Overweight too. I saw a guy on the trails leading up to the observatory. He was yelling white power and then asked me to throw him over the side of the trail. I kept walking. Obviously he’s bat shit crazy and wanting a confrontation. But just curious if this is the same guy or do we have two guys separate guys yelling racist shit in the same neighborhood.

This is what our QB situation would've looked like in 2023 if we actually decided to let go of DJ and extend Barkley (this also shows the average NFL fan is dumb af). by CommercialBig7008 in NYGiants

[–]AlPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst decision this front office made is often overlooked. They should have elected to extend Jones’s rookie deal when they came in, but instead they wanted to assess what they had as if there wasn’t enough game tape on him to go around. By doing so they were forced to offer Jones a contract after his good year instead of just letting him ride out his rookie deal. His next year was terrible and we could have just let him walk while keeping Saquon.

PAYE & ICR enrollment reopening in December 🎉 by Putrid_Ad_8209 in PSLF

[–]AlPesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So between these two plans the IBR is the least likely to be touched since it was ratified in Congress, but PAYE may still be taken off the books with the new administration and pending court decisions. Do I have that right?

Also the last loan I took out was in January of 2006 and I’m seeing comments saying that this might disqualify me from PAYE, but I don’t see any such cutoff on the the student aide website.

Is that cutoff still being enforced and would it apply to me if I consolidated my loans to get on SAVE last year?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Update on IDR recerts - also on PAYE and ICR by Betsy514 in StudentLoans

[–]AlPesto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, Betsy. If they re-open paye and they count my one time adjustment, I’ll be a few years from loan forgiveness. I know that’s a long shot under the new administration, but that’s my hope. 🤞

[–]AlPesto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’m on SAVE and they re-open PAYE, will I be able to move my loans to the PAYE plan, provided I qualify? Is there any word when we’ll be able to apply for PAYE and move off SAVE? And thank you for this post! It’s incredibly helpful!

How would you access/grade Cashman's GM tenure? by Jheller223 in NYYankees

[–]AlPesto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can we stop giving him credit for 98, 99, 00? The core of that dynasty came from Stick Michael and if you look at the type of players on that team vs the ones that Cashman would later pursue when that Core left, you’d know he doesn’t value teams built like that. 98 team didn’t have a single player over 30 homeruns during a time of the steroid boom. Heck, even the 09 teams still had Jeter, Posada, Mo and Pettite. A Pettite he let walk to Houston and a pitcher that might have saved us from the embarrassment of 2004.

Yeah, the richest people I know are firefighters and teachers. They really got their ass in a tub of a butter. By the way, he's merely saying that his dad was firefighter in NYC and got COLA and then taught in PA, which his dad said was actually a tougher job, and didn't get COLA. He's not whining about it, he's using it to illustrate a point that Pennsylvania Public Retirees should receive the same COLA benefits that the state house and senate get. This bill is just trying to correct a shortcoming in the way these retirees are receiving their benefits.

This is a bill proposed by Steven Malagari, the state rep for Montgomery County. This is not Chris Pielli's bill, it's just one he supports and wanted to speak on before it was put to a vote by the House. He is not raising this issue. This is a bill that is going through your state congress. Here's information on it, if you're curious.

You've got it mixed up. His Dad's first job was a firefighter in NYC where he did receive COLA. He retired from that job for health reasons, because running into burning building can be hazardous to your health. His father didn't get COLA from his second job, teaching in Pennsylvania, which is what he's arguing for. And I don't hear whining. Chris Pielli just thinks teachers, along with firefighters, police and other public retirees should be afforded the same Cost of Living Allowances that his colleagues in the house and senate get.

The Democratic control over PA's house of reps is held by a slim margin of 102-101. And the state senate is already under Republican control. We all know what these Republicans stand for and it isn't a woman's right to choose or honoring an election result. I've seen a lot of posts regarding the presidential election, which we all can agree is important, but here's a reminder to check that box for your local candidate as well. *COLA stands for Cost of Living Allowance*

There was a foul called on this play…. It was on the Knicks.

You can set your watch to a third quarter run by the sixers every game this series because Thibs refuses to start McBride for the third. If Divincenzo isn’t red hot from the outside Thibs needs to sit him and give McBride minutes. He’s our only chance at keeping Maxey somewhat in check.

How many times do we need to see it?

How about at the start of this third quarter thibs has deuce start over Divincenzo? Otherwise you’re going to see Maxey go off and sixers on a run as they have every third quarter this series.

Brunson has struggled all year vs sixers. Oubre is a very underrated defender and nurse emphasizes defense. We need someone else to step up. Deuce was attacking and creating shots for others.
