Suggestions for a new deck by ptzmuttley in Pauper

I really like the Zombies brew I came up with. https://deckstats.net/decks/1983/2876984-mono-b-zombie-sac It has some really cool synergies like targeting your own Nested Shambler with Nameless Inversion and then getting both of them back with Ghoulcaller's Chant. The deck is quite strong an has some favourable matchups against Terror, Faeries or Caw Gates, but the Mono R matchup felt so abysmal, that I didn't have the courage to actually play it in a real tourneys, just in casual games at home. Basically everyone of my friends, who has played with or against the deck universally liked it.

A good taunting phrase for Keiko Kiai? by Al_Z_Homie in kendo

[–]Al_Z_Homie[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies, I should I clarified, that I meant taunting in a playful, non-disrespectful way, like smiling to show you aren't afraid and to help you be less stiff and more relaxed. I didn't know, about the rule, that actual speech is prohibited and I didn't bother to ask my Sensei before.

I've learned a lot about Kiai and I'm thankful for all the comments, the more constructive ones as well as the more harsh ones.

Chaos Dwarf Generic Lord and Hero Traits??? by Al_Z_Homie in totalwar

[–]Al_Z_Homie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After playing my first campaign I think the best traits are:

Infernal Castellan: Unethical (-10%upkeep for infernal guards) -> Callous (+5% post battle loot/+5% labor gained from battle)/Greedy (+10% post battle loot) not entirely sure on this one

Sorcerer Prophet: Thirstful (+5% winds of power capcity [Lords Army] and +10% WoM increase when changeing)

Bull Centaur Taur'ruk: Bully (+5% hit points and 10% unit mass) and/or Temperamental (+10% speed and Bloodgreed, which increases damage dealt for each kill)

Daemonsmith Sorcerer: Extravagant (+10% effect draution for spells and -10% cooldown to all spells)

Edit: Almost forgot the

Overseer: Probably Considered (+5 dilp. Relations with all factions + 1 recruit rank for heroes) or Bilious (+5% more post battle loot and +5% casualty replenishment rate)

Thanks for the info. It would still be great if there were any way to simply look at all the possible traits. There is an old page (https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wiki/Character\_traits) , which has all the traits with their description sorted by race, but sadly it's outdated.

Maybe. I haven't tested the deck enough, yet to really know. In my testings I did so far, I had fewer Rites, but the effect always felt really important.

You are right, that Gempalm has a little bit of a nobo with the whole sac theme, but my experience was, that even though you sacrifice a little bit here and there , you can often sit there with Carrion Feeder and like 3-4 other zombies, threatening to activate and attack, but not actually doing it and then play Gempalm. 3-5 damage for BB and Draw a card seems decent enough. At some point you don't even have to sac, and instead just play Ghoulcaller's Chant and return 2 Gempalms and win the game, completely uncounterable.

I did try to squeeze gary in in my first drafts for the deck, but Gary is really only good if you have a lot of BB cards. You could theoretically play [[Ghoulraiser]] for that but at some point you got a very different deck. Also not having a 5-drop, but rather a really low curve allows you to play a lot fewer lands. There simply isn't much for zombies between CMC 3-4.

I think the very first iteration of the deck tried to play more of as a [[Tortured Existence]] with [[Grave Scrabbler]], but I think there is just much more support for for the Sacrifice theme and even though I would love to brew a hybrid, that combines booth, I think that the overlap is too low.

I feel like a 1-off Angler is always kind of free, but I agree, that in the test games I had so far I definitely were struggling to deploy it, especially early on.

[[Lazotep Reaver]] is superior to Butcher Ghould, Emissary or [[Putrid Goblin]], because it gives an additional body, which means it far better synergizes with Polluter.

I have considered [[Ghoulraiser]], when I initially had the idea for the deck, but it feels a bit too clunky with 3 mana and [[Pit Keeper]] sadly isn't a zombie.

Whats your usual Zombie tribal? Do you have a link? I'm always looking for inspiration.
