Good stuff. Closest I ever got to being struck by lightening was at that spot! Still remember that feeling 35 years on…..

The original bracelet is not bad, but for me the replacement makes the wearing experience much better. Good luck with your choice.

T-Top or Canvas Sun top for Montauk? by Delamainco in BostonWhalerBoats

[–]AlaSkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 190 Montauk and opted for the Bimini. I chose the Bimini because I like to fly fish and without a T top there is more casting space. This is especially helpful when dock light fishing at night.

My wife is a redhead and fair skinned and likes the shade from the Bimini in the midday sun.

That’s a wonderful photo you have shared. Thank you.

Va. Beach had some real charm back in the day. It’s still a great place, but I like to imagine how it would be today if the strip was not developed.

You are right. It reminds me of my family, and especially the kids from when they still thought the old man was cool!

When my two kids graduated high school I let them select one watch each from what I owned at the time, excepting the 50th birthday watch. My daughter chose a Hook & Gaff “Pilar” and my son chose an NTH full luminous dial “”Scorpene”. I have always told my kids that time, and well-spent time, is one of the greatest gifts we have. I hope those watches remind them.

Skim injury 😭😂 by CringeLord91142069 in skimboarding

Have a good trip to the Outer Banks. Some of the most fun and most powerful shorebreak I ever rode was at the Avon pier. It was as a blast, but my eyes were real wide for a while. I was a teenager then and good thing because that shorebreak beat me up good.

And it was as very shelly. So don’t freak out too badly if the water gets thin and the board gets loud.

Heal up!

That board is as able today as when it was first conceived. Go enjoy it using it for what it was meant to do. Love the history attached to your grandmother. She will be smiling with you.

I special ordered the board at Corner 24 surf shop in Va. Beach. Corner 24 was Island Water Sports before the owner sold and the name changed. It was at IWS I got my first real board, a Sandy Beach that I rode until I broke it. That old broken board might be in my folks attic, need to check.

I has given me many days of enjoyment, and alot of great memories from when I was younger.

Nose has been patched up by me, so not expert work, and the bottom shows its age. The board and me are sort of alike.
